Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Harry

"Why would I know where you put the car keys? It's your car Addison, I can count by my fingers the times I drove it."

I run my hand through my hair frustrated as Addison suddenly realized she hasn't seen her car keys in two days. We are running late to the Sunday lunch in Caleb and Sarah's house, they are probably already waiting for us.

"I only took my car to work on Tuesday, I'm sure I put them here." Addison mutters to herself as she continues to open every cabinet and every drawer in the entrance hall looking for her car keys. It is very rare that she is the one to drive, as we work in the same place, I'm always the one to take the car.

But I take my car, not hers.

"Can't you look for that when we come back? You love to be on time, and we are already running late." I say looking at my phone to check the time realizing we are now ten minutes late, and we didn't even leave the house.

Addison and I lived in a house just outside the center of Bristol. It was a big house, bigger than we needed to be honest, considering it is just the two of us living here. It was a two-floor house, with four bedrooms, an office, a large kitchen, an open space living room, and three bathrooms. The backyard was a spacious garden, with a bathtub and enough space to throw some parties in the summer.

This house was Addison's pride and joy.

We moved here when we were twenty-three, right after we got married. Her parents got us this house as a wedding present.

Quite generous uh?

Addison spent most of her time decorating this house, making sure it was the most well-decorated house in the area, and she did it. The garden was the part of the house she was most proud of, I can't say how many hours she spent there. Obviously, that was before she spent most of her free time working. Now we simply have a private gardener who comes three times a week to take care of the plants and flowers.

"Oh, I found them! They were on the purse I wore that day." Addison's voice echoes through the house as I wait by the front door, holding my own car keys between my fingers. When she finally meets me by the door, she stops taking a moment to look at me.

My wife was a beautiful woman, there is no doubt about that. Today she was wearing a laid-back outfit, different from what she usually wears for work. She had put on some fitted jeans, and a polka dot shirt, tucked inside. She almost looked like the twenty-two-year-old I met all these years ago.

But we are no longer those reckless kids. Well, she was never reckless, but I was, a little too much if you ask me.

"Are you leaving the house wearing that?" When I think she is about to compliment the outfit I had chosen for the day, she complains instead.

I have been buying some new clothes recently, I have decided to be a little bolder in my outfit options, but clearly, my wife doesn't approve of them. I just feel that men's clothes can get a little boring, especially when I have to wear suits every day to go to work.

So, I have bought some new shirts, coats, trousers and even new suits but a little out of the box. I have tried every outfit on and honestly, I feel much better wearing a shirt with a floral pattern than wearing the same plain white shirt every time.
