I had a few, got drunk on you and now I'm wasted
And when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted
If you go out tonight, I'm going out 'cause I know you're persuasive
You got that something, I got me an appetite, now I can taste it

"Are you going out again?" Addison asks me while she snacks on some salty popcorn as she watches some TV on the sofa.

It was Sunday which means she didn't work today, and she spent the whole day in that position on the sofa, only moving to go to the toilet or to the kitchen. This was very surprisingly of her, I don't remember the last time she spent the whole day doing nothing. I guess she is extremely tired from the previous week of work, that's why she felt the need to rest today.

I on the other hand decided to occupy myself mowing the lawn and fixing random appliances at the house, which I sucked at. I would prefer to call someone here to do all this, but Addison insisted we could save some money if I was the one to do it. The only problem is that I barely know how to change a light bulb, imagine fixing the broken washing machine, I was completely clueless.

I still hadn't told Addison about how I was offered the chance of playing on the pub during some nights in the week, nor was I planning on telling her anytime soon. I just feel that when I tell her I know I will stop going, I know I will lose the motivation I have to go, and I'm not ready for that to happen just yet.

"Yes darling, I agreed to go to the pub with Jace." At least I'm not entirely lying, I am indeed going to the pub, just not with Jace and not to have a few drinks like we usually do.

Yesterday I had gone to the basement to look for my guitar which I had tucked away there a long time ago. I don't remember the last time I picked it up, but it must have been many years ago, because the case where it was in was all dusty, with spider webs all over it. Some of the strings had deteriorated over the years and I had to replace them with new ones before I even had the chance to play it.

Turns out playing the guitar is just like riding a bicycle, you never truly forget how to do it, no matter how much time passes.

Since I didn't have time to learn any new songs on the guitar, I opted to play three songs which I knew by heart. It was a bittersweet feeling playing these songs, they take me back to the streets of London, where I lost count of the number of times I played them.

"Tomorrow you have work, we have a meeting at nine one we can't be late to." She reminds me as if I could forget.

"I know, don't worry I will be up early." It is going to hurt like hell but at seven in the morning I will have to be up, no matter at what time I get home.

"I'm just going to stay here, I am having a lazy day." She sighs smiling at me as I walk towards her figure. I lean on the sofa softly kissing her forehead. "Don't come home too late." Addison warns me and I nod.

"I won't." I promise even if I am not sure about my words.

Xander, the owner of the put told me I should start playing at around ten, only because it was a Sunday night and people usually never stayed until late. If I go there to play at a Friday or Saturday, I will play a little later, making sure people stay until later as well.

After making sure I had everything with me, I walk to my car parked on the garage. I had placed the guitar inside the back of it earlier this morning, away from Addison's curious stares. She will never notice the guitar is missing, and if she does, she will probably think I finally threw her away.

Yes, my guitar is a she and has kept me company since I was seventeen. It is my most meaningful and long-lasting relationship, even if I had ignored her existence for years now.
