All of my life I've been sleep-walk living
Running around the same bars I've been in
It can be so lonely in this city
But it feels different when you're with meOlivia
Harry took longer than what I was expecting in his lunch, so long that I ended up running through all the shops in Oxford Street, and believe me, there are many shops here. I didn't have any money to spend so it was kind of torture to myself, but what else was I supposed to do?
I guess it was my little punishment for having lied to Harry about the reason I came to London. But it was all worth it, especially since our journey had been so pleasant, I would lie again if it meant we could do this one more time.
I opened a little more to Harry about my life, which is something I don't really like doing, and I know he did the same. We were slowly getting to know more about each other what only made him much more interesting to me.
And I can't wait to spend the rest of the afternoon with him, I just hope he doesn't want to leave right away.
It was now three in the afternoon, and I was exiting the thirtieth store of the day when I heard my phone ringing inside my purse. It was raining a little now, but nothing a true British person can't handle.
My lips curve into a smile when I realize it is Harry who is calling me. I was going to tell him I had left the museum before lunch and came here to kill some time.
I just hope he doesn't ask me many questions about it or about the supposed assignment I have to do. But he doesn't need to be very smart to figure out it is all a lie, I don't even have a notebook with me how am I supposed to be doing a whole assignment?
"Hello?" I answer the phone right away hearing a loud noise from the other side, as if he was in a crowded place.
"I'm sorry for taking so long Liv." I bite the interior of my lip when he calls me by that nickname. I don't think he even notices how he started calling me Liv instead of Olivia, which means he was getting more and more comfortable around me.
"We had just so much to catch up we got lost in time. Mitch even got to work super late because of me." Even if it was a little boring being all these hours by myself, I could never be angry at him for making me wait.
Harry hasn't seen his old friend in god knows how long, a few hours are simply not enough to catch up with everything that happened to them throughout the last ten years. Maybe from now on they will arrange more regular meetings to reignite the old friendship they once had.
Even if it is none of my business, I am happy that he reconnected with this Mitch friend. I don't know Harry very well, but over the short month I have known him he has shown to be a pleasant surprise, even more than what I was expecting.
Not only he was hot, but he was also a kind altruistic person, with a great sense of humour but terrible jokes. But he was also very insecure, which came to me as a surprise, because it is the last characteristic I expected a man like him to have. Harry seems to be this confident man, but in reality, he has so many doubt about his abilities.
"Don't worry about it Harry, I hope you had fun." I smile even though he can't see me.
"Oh I did, it was great, as if we had seen each other for the last time on the last month and not ten years go." I can almost picture the grin he has on his face. "But now I'm ready to meet with you, where are you? Are you still at the museum?"
"I left before lunch and ended up coming to Oxford street to kill some time, do you want me to catch the tube and meet you there?" I ask not really feeling like taking the crowded tube, but if that is what he wants me to do then I can't complain.
