Thought that you should know that
You were my favorite entertainer
I watch you, I laugh with and fuck with you
Don't you play me for a fool
In this game, I own the rules

"So he is not your boyfriend?" Harry asks as we are sitting down by the counter on those high stools, sipping on the drinks he bought for us. For me it was a rum and coke cocktail while Harry drank his pint of beer. He told me he was driving tonight so he needed to take it slow.

"No, but sometimes he thinks he is." I sigh. "It's a long story you wouldn't like to know." I roll my eyes when I notice that through the corner of my eye Theo keeps looking at us with a deadly expression.

But tonight, I couldn't care less about Theo or his stupid and irrational jealousy, not when Harry was here.

I wasn't expecting Harry to show up here, actually that was the last thing to cross my mind when I was coming to the pub with my friends. But I had noticed how he was doing a bit of a stalking on my Instagram, not that I minded of course. I just never thought Harry would use social media but he did surprise me this time.

Our last encounter didn't end particularly well, and I confess I was very mad by the way he treated me. But the fact he came crawling back to me and ask for my forgiveness simply tells me he is as into me as I am into him.

Otherwise, why would he come to this specific pub on a Friday night to say sorry to me while his wife stayed at home?

There is some sexual tension between us, there is no denying that, but I know he won't give in that easily.

From what I have gathered from him, he is a man with good morals who is trapped in a suffocating marriage, even though he will never admit it. I don't need to know him that well to know he is clearly unhappy, but he needs to find that out for himself first.

For now, I'm actually enjoying getting to know him a little more.

"Boys his age are very immature, maybe in a few more years he will have a better shot with you." Harry shrugs.

"I don't think he will ever have a chance with me." I say shaking my head, ignoring Theo and his annoying stares. "Were you immature when you were nineteen?" I ask sipping my cocktail slowly. I am starting to feel the alcohol kick in, especially because this is the second drink of the night, also an heavily alcoholic one.

Harry lets out a chuckle. "Oh very. I lived for the music, and I never managed to hold a job for more than a few weeks at a time. I just wanted to sing, smoke, drink and sleep." He says with a dreamy tone.

If in a parallel universe I could have the chance to meet younger Harry I think we would get along just fine. His life, the one he had before marrying Addison seems so interesting, a real dream for anyone. Yes, he probably didn't have money or any possessions like he has now but he had so many life experiences which money can't buy.

"That sounds fun honestly, I wish that was my life right now." I roll my eyes, moving my index finger around the edge of the round glass.

"It's a short-lived life, no one can maintain that lifestyle for long you know? It becomes an endless circle, especially when there is no outcome from it, which was my case." He says and I know his mind is not here, but more than ten years ago, relieving everything in his memory.

"Did your friends make it in the music industry?" I ask curiously.

"Very few, but I wouldn't know." I raise an eyebrow at his statement and thankfully he explains what he means by that. "I lost contact with them, it's hard to maintain friendships for long, you will find out that in the future." He says and I couldn't agree more.
