And you've got a smile
That can light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in a while
Since she brought you down
You say you're fine, I know you better than that
Hey, what you doing with a girl like that?Olivia
"Are you sure she won't come in at any minute now?" I ask as I step inside Harry's house. It was almost new years eve, which means he was going to take me away for a surprise while Addison was travelling to the United States to close some deal. Or maybe she was going to bang her lover too, but I decided to keep that thought to myself. Harry never mentioned having any suspicions about her having a lover, so it won't be me who will plant that idea on his head.
Even if I'm sure that is the case, she is sneaky.
"Well, unless she didn't get on her plane which departed an hour ago, I think we are safe." Harry smiles as he helps me take off my coat.
I don't know how to feel about being here, it feels strange to be inside the house he shares with his wife, maybe it even feels wrong.
Yes, because cheating doesn't feel wrong at all, Olivia.
Well, to be fair he is the one cheating, I'm just the filthy mistress who is going along, feeling no remorse at all. The more I get to know Addison the more I dislike her, I just don't get why these two are still married. I will never be the one asking Harry to divorce her, it is not my place to ask. But it doesn't make any sense for two people who don't support each other to be together.
"You better be sure because I would like to keep my head." I say playfully but the fear or someone walking in doesn't go away, and by someone I mean Addison.
What if she has cameras? She is crazy enough for that. Rich people have cameras in their houses, right?
"But what if-" Harry turns around after putting my coat on the hanger, placing his hands on my shoulders as I look up to him.
"We are fine, besides we shouldn't take long here anyway. I just didn't have any time to pack, we will leave right after if that makes you feel better." I nod.
For someone who just brought the young woman he is cheating on his wife with to his house, he is surprisingly calm. If I was him I would be freaking out, but maybe that is just paranoic me. Besides, he is right, why am I even scared about that? Addison is on her way to the United States and I'm about to have a very hot new years eve with Harry.
What else could I ask for?
"Are you finally going to tell me where we are going?" I pout trying to get any information out of him. I know we are not going very far away from Bristol, but I have no idea where he is planning to take me.
"No, you will find out when we get there." Harry smiles as he gestures for me to get inside the house and out of the hallway.
His house was bigger than I had anticipated, especially considering they were only two people living here. It is great for when you have an argument with the other person, you can just hide on the other side of the house and not listen to them, completely ignoring their existance.
Rich people are something else.
"Uh, should I show you around or?" Harry awkwardly asks but I don't feel the need to see every single corner of his house, so I just shake my head as he agrees with me.
He walks towards the stairs which means we are going to his bedroom. Along the way, I can't help but notice the pictures hanging on the walls while we climb the steps. Most were Addison's pictures taken on various occasions throughout her life. There is one of her christening when she was just a baby, other on her graduation day, and the last one was taken on her wedding day, but she was alone and not with Harry.
