ricky ran down the stairs as fast as he could when he heard nini scream his name for the third time. "ok i'm coming."

he saw nini blending in some vegetables while gracie was sitting in the high chair. ricky approaches her and made a disgusting look. "ew what the hell is that? is that our breakfast?"

nini shook her head as she put the blended veggies to a baby bowl, "nope, this is for gracie. i made some eggs and toast. it's over there in the counter."

"have you eaten?" ricky asks as he sits down on the stool.

"i'll eat after gracie takes a bite." nini responds, taking a scoop of the baby food she made. although, gracie refused to eat it. "come on baby, please. just one bite."

gracie still refused and flinched, making some baby food splatter over nini's face. ricky let out a light chuckle. "you really thought that she's going to eat that?"

nini gives a quick glare as she wipes the baby food from her face. meanwhile, ricky grabbed a box of cheerios from the pantry and gave some to gracie. to nini's surprise, gracie ate the cereal. "see told ya."

"yeah yeah ok." nini replies as she walks to sit on the stool beside ricky to have her breakfast. "so uh we need to talk about everything. schedules, bedtime all of those things."

"yeah i agree." ricky said. "but can we do that tonight? i have to leave for work in a while."

"yeah sure. i also have to leave for work. i'm leaving gracie with amy, her babysitter." nini replied as she cleaned the counter.

"alright."

"oh yeah. one more thing." nini adds. "please don't come home late." and ricky rolls his eyes playfully, "yeah ok."

nini arrived home completely exhausted from work. she was greeted by amy and gracie playing in the living room and she couldn't help but smile. she approached the two and carried gracie to her arms. "hey gracie? were you good today?"

gracie gave a bright smile as amy pat the baby's back. "she was good today, weren't you gracie?"
nini grabbed a $20 bill at the back of her pocket and handed it over to her, "thanks amy for taking care of her. i'll see you soon."

"yeah no problem. thanks nini." amy responded. "oh yeah also, ricky is here now. he arrived like 20 minutes ago. he just went upstairs."

nini's eyes widened. "oh really?"

"yeah, really." a familiar voice in the background said. nini turned around to see ricky and she rolled her eyes playfully.

"ok anyways, i'll go ahead. bye ricky. bye nini." amy responded as she heads out.

as soon as amy leaves, nini locks the front door and approaches ricky, "ok, i'll put gracie for a nap first. then we'll talk."

soon after, gracie fell asleep, and the two went down to the dining table to talk. ricky and nini spent hours talking about their work schedules, their plans for gracie and how they were going to split the money on paying for the house and their necessities. they suddenly made a pact on this.

"ok one last." nini said as she wrote stuff on the piece of yellow pad. "no falling in love. we can be in a relationship with other people though."

ricky burst into laughter, "me, falling in love with you? trust me. that won't happen."

"then it's settled." nini said. "we're just here as co parents. nothing more. deal."

"deal." ricky replied as they shook hands.
