Todoroki sat on the bed, pulling his clothes back on.

He glanced at his crush, who was under the covers, passed out after doing IT.

Smiling sadly at her, he sighed and left the room, closing the door along the way.

Y/N was his best friend, whom he had a crush on. But he knew that she didn't return his feelings.

Flashback

Todoroki asked his friend, Y/N to meet up after school at the boba cafe.

His stomach was full of butterflies, making his throat close up with nervousness.

Sitting down at a empty table for two, he waited for her to enter.

Looking through the glass doors, he saw his crush coming and smiled down at his lap, a small blush on his cheeks.

Y/N waved and him and sat down. "So why are we meeting up here? I believe you said that there was something important you had to tell me."

"Yes." He cleared his throat and let out a small breath.

"Y/N L/N, ever since I met you and spent time with you as friends, my feelings grew for you over time, overflowing and overtaking me. Will you accept my feelings and be my girlfriend?"

He squeezed his eyes shut and awaited her answer.

"I'm sorry, Todoroki. But I can't return your feelings." She looked down at her folded hands in her lap, feeling guilty.

He opened his eyes and wore a sad expression. I told you she wouldn't accept your stupid feelings.

"I'd like us to stay friends, if that's okay with you."

He couldn't bear to look at her. If he did, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from letting his tears flow.

She sighed. "Look, I have a idea. I wouldn't call it great nor terrible. It's a thing one of my other friends are going through now. It's called friends with benefits."

Todoroki's mismatched eyes widened at her words. He couldn't possibly believe what she was saying.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm saying that we would do it, but with no romantic interaction. We would also stay friends."

Accept her offer. This is the closest you can get to love. Even though it's not real love.

He sighed heavily and nodded. "Fine."

Flashback End

Todoroki suddenly had a gagging feeling in his throat.

Running to the bathroom, he collapsed in front of the toilet and began coughing out flower petals and blood.

There were crimson red and snow white rose petals in the toilet bowl.

His back hit the wall behind him, from the shock and fear that overcame his body.
