Mermaid Tears | Pirate AU

Aboard the Class 1A, Captain Todoroki stood on the quarterdeck of his ship overlooking his crew as they worked.

He glanced up at the night sky before looking back to his crew.

"Anchor Kirishima! We will search for mermaids here! He commanded to the red haired pirate by the anchor ropes.

Captain Todoroki was in need of a mermaid because he had to catch a tear from one of them in order to get to the Fountain of Youth.

"Aye aye Captain!" Kirishima yelled. He started lowering the anchor and it hit the bottom.

After Todoroki and his crew had all assembled into their small row boats they had, the search for mermaids was on.

One of the other pirates, Kaminari, held a lantern over the black water and looked around.

"Captain! I don't see any mermaids here!" He informed him.

Todoroki smirked. "Just be patient. The mermaids will come to us, Kaminari." He replied.

Soon enough a mermaid with H/C and E/C eyes slowly rose out of the pitch black water.

"Captain! A mermaid!" Kaminari whispered to him. Todoroki waved him off.

Todoroki signaled his crew to ready a net.

But then the H/C haired mermaid started singing a siren song in a quiet voice. Since Todoroki was closest to the mermaid, his ears caught the sound first.

He reached out his hand to the mermaid, and she took it. Slowly engulfing it with hers.

The Captain's eyes were glazed over as he stared into the mermaid's eyes. The crew knew what was happening.

"The Captain is under the spell! Throw the net!" One of the crew members named Iida shouted.

Kirishima threw a net over the mermaid and she struggled inside of it. She let out a loud scream and other mermaids began popping up out of the water.

Hissing and showing their fangs, the mermaids started attacking Todoroki's crew.

Todoroki snapped out of the siren trance and realized what was happening.

"We have a mermaid! Retreat back to the ship!" He yelled out.

When they were almost to the ship, the mermaids began trying to make holes in the bottom of the boats to try and sink them.

The Captain's crew tried using rifles and attempted to shoot the mermaids attacking the boats.

"Pull us up!" Todoroki shouted to the crew waiting back on the ship.

The remaining crew on the ship threw down rope ladders for them to climb up.

But the mermaids grabbed one of the ladders and pulled it down, along with a crew member.

"Give us back Y/N!" One of the mermaids with brown hair named Ochaco screamed at Todoroki.

He just glared at her and began climbing up one of the ropes.

Luckily, he and some of his crew managed to get back on the ship before the mermaids pulled down all the ropes.

Kirishima threw the mermaid on the deck of the ship, and the crew members surrounded her.

Y/N struggled violently against the net, trying to cut the net with her fangs.

Todoroki looked down at the mermaid and then back at Kirishima.

"Bring her into my quarters." He commanded the red haired pirate.

"Aye aye sir." He replied with a toothy smile.

In Todoroki's Quarters

The mermaid tried sinking her face into the water of a small wooden tub they put her in.

"What do you want from me?" She demanded, glaring at the Captain.

He smirked at her and lowered his head. The hat he wore created a shadow over his eyes.

"I need a tear from you, mermaid. And I know that you want to swim free. So give up a tear willingly and then I will allow you to go." He told her.

Y/N narrowed her eyes. "My name is Y/N. And I know what you want. You want to find the Fountain of Youth. I won't help you find it." She stubbornly turned her head away from him.

The Captain stared at her. He found her quiet beautiful actually. He watched her H/C hair draped over her shoulders and trailed his eyes over her body, to the tip of her golden tail.

Was he still under her spell? He couldn't be. She wasn't singing. So why did he feel a weird feeling in his chest whenever he stared at her?

He also liked at how stubborn she was. It was kind of... cute?

Y/N broke the silence between them. "Well? What do you have to stay to that?" He blushed, turning away because she turned back to look at him.

This time it was the mermaid's turn to stare at him.

She eyed his hair, seeing as it was half red and half white. The side of his face with the red hair had a scar on it.

Y/N trailed her eyes down his body, seeing his shirt was open from his neck and revealed a tiny part of his chest.

She almost wanted to unbutton his shirt and-

The mermaid shook her head, seeing as how attractive he was, she couldn't let her guard down. Although it was hard to, because she kept catching herself staring at him.

Todoroki saw everything, he was watching her trail her eyes over him.

He smirked. "What are you doing?" He asked her.

She blushed red and it was her turn to turn away this time. "Nothing!" She exclaimed.

Perhaps he didn't need a tear from her, but maybe he just needed her.

While she was turning away from him, he got closer to her and crouched in front of her wooden tub.

He took her chin by his fingertips and turned her face back to him.

Y/N was shocked when he brought his own lips to hers. She didn't hesitate to kiss him back.

He pulled away from her and stroked her cheek with his thumb.

"Well, aren't you a naughty mermaid." He whispered to her.

"I don't think I care." She responded, pulling him yet into another kiss.
