Y/N watched painfully as her crush and friend held his significant other in his arms. They had just confessed to each other, now relieved because the feelings were mutual.

She couldn't help but let the unwanted tears rain down. There was nothing but only the feeling of defeat as the heartbroken girl retreated, not bearing to watch anymore.

But that was a long time ago. Even though it was that long ago, she could remember it as clear as day. The most painful day of her life.

Now wasn't the time. Y/N had been assigned an important mission, and it was best that she had payed attention to what she was doing.

Luckily for her, the mission was a success, and her assigned partner Hawks had complimented her on doing a good job.

Today she got her paycheck for her hard work this month. I should treat myself. I deserve it. I want something good anyway.

Y/N changed out of her hero costume in the women's locker room at the agency and stuffed the costume into her backpack.

She left the agency and thought about where she should go for her dinner that evening. The decision hadn't come to her yet, so Y/N reached into her pocket and got her earbuds out.

It's decided. I'm going to (favorite restaurant). Nothing was better than (favorite food). Walking the busy streets of Musutafu, the hero wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. More like in front of her.

She bumped into someone, Y/N glared up at the person but her eyes softened immediately when the person started to apologize.

"I'm sorry, I-" the person had cut their sentence short when they also realized they had bumped into someone familiar. "Y/N?"

"Todoroki? What are you doing here?" Y/N said, taking out her earbuds and resting them on her neck. The man was taken back when she used his last name.

"I was out going out to get ingredients for dinner, but, here I am talking to you, Y/N." Did he just use my first name?

"Are you hungry? I'm going to get dinner too, do you mind joining me?" Y/N offered. No what are you doing?! He won't say yes!

"Sure, I don't mind paying. Where are you heading?" He said. What?! "I'm going to (favorite restaurant)."

"(Favorite restaurant)? I remember we used to go there sometimes. Is it still your favorite place to eat?" He asked.

How does he remember that? Why would he care? "Yeah, it is." Todoroki nodded. "I don't mind catching up with you. Let's go then shall we?"

Y/N led the way. She was nervous the whole time. Her heart raced and the adrenaline was starting to kick in. By the time they arrived at the place, she was shaking.

"Are you alright? You seem to be shaking." Todoroki said, putting a hand on her shoulder. Y/N shrugged I'm off. "I'm fine. Let's just go in."

It wasn't too crowded inside luckily. They picked a seat right next to the door. Todoroki pulled a chair out for her, being the gentleman he was.

Y/N took the seat and sat down, Todoroki on the opposite side. "I missed you, you know? Ever since we stopped contacting each other, it feels like you forgot about me."

Suddenly it felt like a snake had slithered into her chest and bit her heart. I hadn't forgot. It's just every time we talked, I felt like bursting into tears, from the fact that your heart lies with another. Is what she wanted to say.

"What about you want your girlfriend?" She blurted out instead. Sh*t why did you say that?! Your a dumb f*ck Y/N! "My girlfriend? You mean the one from high school? She and I broke up a long time ago. Things didn't go well after we became pro heroes."

There is was. The snake had released its grip on her heart. Wait they aren't together anymore? Oh wow, I feel kind of relieved to know that.

Just then, the food arrived, making the young hero realize how hungry she actually was. "Y/N, if we started over, could we be the way we were that long time ago? When we were close friends?"

Friends only? Well, it's better than nothing. I'm not complaining. As long as he doesn't pull an Adrien Agreste on me-

"Sure. I'd love that. I did miss you too after all those years." She blushed and turned away to hide it. Todoroki smiled, only on rare occasions he smiled like that, Y/N knew that.

"Can I see your phone? I can put my number in for you if you'd like." He offered, holding out his hand. She didn't hesitate to give it to him.

By the end of the night, Y/N had gone home, feeling the most happiness she had felt in a long time. She flopped on her bed and stared at the ceiling. It wasn't long before she grabbed her phone and hesitated on texting him.

Y/N: Hi it's me, Y/N. Do you want to go out for dinner again sometime soon, Shoto?

Yes, she had used his first name. But how could she not? After all, the man still lies in her heart, even after all those years.

Shoto: Yes, I'd like that. See you soon, Y/N.
