Can you hold me a little longer,
Before you leave me and I fall into the abyss?

In the past one week, if I have learnt anything about Darshan, it is the fact that, he is all by himself for the most part of the days.

For instance, in the cafeteria, he has got into the large junk group of boys because he is just...perfectly great at everything he does?

But, here comes the fact. Instead of laughing to their somehow awkward sounding conversations and joining in a word or two, he doesn't do anything else. It seems like, he is within the proximity of a galaxy and he is building an universe in his own head.

It is just the girls who stay mostly around him and talk him out. Well, what a bold move to make!

He stays quiet, for the most part of the day.

I wonder how he got with those loud bantering group of boys without talking.

Today though, the day seems doomed.

Today was one of those days when I was in a 'mood'. Due to this fact, I literally blowed up on Deepa. Poor little girl, has to handle my mood swings.

I turn around the corridor to get away from her. I know that it's just a matter of three minutes that we run into each other's arms and beg for forgiveness and everything gets better.

If only that wasn't enough, I find Darshan in a corner.

No, you wouldn't expect him to be with a girl sucking his lips.

No, he is not injecting liquid drugs because of his extrally seeming despairful life.

No, he is not sulking in and crying in the corner.

No, he is not self-harming.

Instead, he is rounded by a few guys, one of which is taller than him and has his hands pressed against the wall above Darshan's head and his other hand in his pocket. The position would look steamy if it were a girl.

Back to the point, the other two guys stood on either side, blocking any way for his run out. Another guy stands across the hall to check if any teacher is coming.

I am standing opposite to them, though and so, I instantly hide behind a pillar.

“Will you do it or not?”, the big guys bellows at Darshan.

He doesn't reply. He stays quiet.

“I need you to do it. If you do not, then you know what you are calling for”, the big guy says, practising his fists.

Oh god, this is bad. This is worse than self-harming. This guy has got himself in a big trouble.

I turn around and run to catch the first teacher I can.

Aarav sir catches my eyes and his seemingly deep-brown eyes narrow at me.

Poor sir, he must have to think why this seventeen year old is running across the corridor.
