*Tobias's POV*
Many say time goes slow in the worst moments of our lives. Those people are right. The last thing I saw was my Ava crying, begging me to stop. But I didn't.
" I love you." I said then I went into the pendant.
The fall from Earth into the pendant was slow. Slow and excruciating. And all I could think about was Ava and all I could hear was her cries, and all I could see were her tears.
All I could see was Ava and then nothing.
I landed with a bang on a cold, pale, blue ground. I expected to be with the others. I expected to be face to face with a coven of angry witches waiting to gut me and wear my organs as trophies.
But I was alone. Terribly and utterly alone.
" Hello!" I called out into the large empty space.
And just as I expected I received no answer.
" Hello!" I yelled again," Please is anybody there?"
I shuffled around the endless room. Calling, begging for somebody, anybody, just anybody but there was no one. I am alone. Completely and utterly alone.
Suddenly a tall hooded figure appeared in front of me. His hood was pulled up past his face. Although where his face should have been, all I could see was darkness I recognized him from my mam's books. I am in the presence of a demon. The demon Beelzebub.
"Beelzebub." I said nodding my head in respect.
" Yes, it is I." His voice was deep and loud. It echoed off the walls surrounding me.
Higher demons like Beelzebub are under many circumstances very difficult to summon let alone trap in a pendant.
All these years people have been wondering how Lizzie's power has grown. And now I know why.
" Why are you here? How did you get here?" I asked.
" Ten years ago your leader Lizzie summoned me privately. While I visited her she trapped me in this pendant and has been using some of my power for the entire time," He explained," But now I have a chance you get out. I am here to offer you a deal."
" And what deal was that?" I asked.
I have to be careful in this situation. When a demon wants something it always came with a price. And the price is never small.
" First I'd like to ask why did you send yourself into this pendant?" He asked.
"It was the only way to keep Ava safe, it was for her own good. My ex-coven can't get to her if I'm here to stop them." I explained.
Hot tears threatened to escape from my eyes. But my pride in sacrificing myself for the love of my life stops the tears.
" Mmm, very noble of you. But I think this act is doing her more harm than good."
He waved his long, bony hands. Loud cries echoed throughout the room, filling the silence. Then I could hear a voice.
"Please give him back, please! I love him so much and I can't live without him. So please, please give him back. You don't need him I do!" The voice begged while sobbing uncontrollably.
