Chapter 9: Trouble

Anna's pov:

I didn't get any sleep last night. My eyes were puffy from crying all night. I really messed up. Ag's never going to forgive me. I really hurt her. I pulled out my phone and got on Tik tok to clear my thoughts but it wasn't working. Maybe going for a walk would help. I got out of bed to go take a shower. A few minutes went by and I was back in my room putting on some clothes to leave but received a text from an unknown number.

We're watching you

What the hell?. I started texting Emmi and Julia.

The og's😈

Are you guys awake? 

E: Yeah, why?

J: what's up?

Well I got this weird text saying "we're watching you" from an unknown number and I'm kinda scared.

E: oh shit

J: it's probably just a prank. You know how the idiots in our town are like. They're always trying to scare ppl.

E: Idk Julia, this seems kinda serious😗

Yeah I agree

J:  this isn't the first time this happened. You're fine, nobody's stalking you.

E: If she gets kidnapped don't say anything.

J: Emmi stop, you're scaring her for no reason.

E: I'm just saying 🤷

J: Don't listen to her Anna, you're ok.

Julia was right, I have nothing to worry about. I grabbed my jacket and left my room. As soon as I was in the hallway, I looked at the guest room door. I slowly turned the doorknob and peaked my head through the small opening to see ag. She was still sleeping. I then closed the door and left through the front door. There was this spot I would usually go to whenever I needed to clear my head. It's not too far from here, maybe a 20 minute walk. I texted my mom about where I was going and continued to my destination.

Ag's pov:

Last night was awful. My heart was still aching from what I saw and it wouldn't stop replaying in my head. I really counted on her. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and went to the kitchen. I checked the clock that was hanging above the stove and  read 8:30. Damn that's pretty early. I went back upstairs and stopped at Anna's door. I reached for the doorknob but hesitated. Not right now. I went back in my room to post some Tik toks since I haven't posted in a while. I closed the app, not wanting to read the comments because I already knew they were about Anna. I lied in bed for a while and soon decided to go talk to Brandon. He was in the living room watching cartoons. I joined him.

"goodmorning" he says, eyes still glued to the screen.

"goodmorning buddy, how'd you sleep?" I asked.

" I slept great" he replied. We continued to watch TV until Anna's mom came in the room.

"goodmorning everyone" she gave us a warm smile. "I just wanted to tell you that anna's not here, she went for a walk." she informed. I asked when she left and she told me around 7:30am she got her text.

"anyways kiddo, I'm dropping Brandon off at his father's house. If you need anything just call me, ok?" I nodded and she left the house along with Brandon.

I was alone now. The house felt so empty without Anna being here. My thoughts started to take over my head. Is she ok? Did I overreact? She didn't mean to kiss him it was the guys fault, right? I pulled out my phone and texted Mia.

Hey Ag, how are you and anna?

Not good

Woah woah woah wdym not good?

Last night we went to a party and she got drunk. She ended up making out with some guy she was talking to. We got into an argument and broke up. She's not in the house, she's been gone since 7:30am and I'm kinda worried. I don't know if I could forgive her tho.

I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to ag. I mean, she really loves you. Why would she ever hurt you on purpose? Yeah being drunk isn't an excuse but if you loved her enough you would be able to forgive her, right? Do you really want to throw your entire relationship away over a mistake?

Mia had a point. There's no way I'm gonna give up on her just because she kissed a guy. I love her way too much to do that. She's worth everything, I know it.

Yeah you're right, I'm gonna go get her.

I started texting her but I wasn't getting a response. Is she ignoring me?

Anna's pov:

I was finally here at my favorite place . It was a shack in the midst of a field. Only Emmi and Julia knew about this place. The outside of it looked old but the inside looked brand new.  It had 2 couches on both sides of the room with a table in the middle, a bathroom, posters of different bands and artists, pictures of me when I was younger, arts and crafts table, pantry full of snacks and fairy lights. I sat down on one the couches and opened the mini fridge. It had water bottles, sodas and juice pouches inside of it. I Grabbed a water bottle an out of nowhere my phone started going off. I checked to see why and saw it was Ag.
