Chapter 17: Hunter Reens

Ag's pov:

I woke up several hours later to Emmi shaking me.

"wake up, we're here."

"ok, ok, i'm awake."

I got out of the car and noticed we were by a trail into the woods

You have to be kidding me. We have to walk through the woods now? Emmi and Julia were already ahead of me. I caught up to them. 20 minutes go by and we're still walking down the trail. Julia had a compass and a map in her hand, leading the way as Emmi and I followed close behind. I was getting worried that we we're lost and she had no idea where we've going. I was soon proven wrong when we reached a cabin.

Julia ran up to the house and looked in the window. Nobody was there. We picked locked the door and went in. The inside was very bland. No decorations whatsoever. We snooped around for fun until I heard the door open. I ran to the bedroom and hid under his bed, Emmi in the kitchen lower cabinet and Julia hiding in the bathroom. Hunter came in his room and jumped onto the bed, the mattress hitting my head in the process.

"Ow!"

I quickly cupped my hand over my mouth. Fuck. I blew it again. He stopped moving and called out "who's there?". I didn't move a muscle. Sweat was dripping down my forehead, I stopped my breathing and my eyes staring straight ahead. He got up off of the bed and searched the house. Once he left the room I pulled out my gun and slid out under the bed. I looked around my surroundings before continuing walking around the house. I looked in every room and found him in standing in the kitchen. He was standing in front of the spot Emmi was. Shit.  He bent down to open the door to which she was hiding. Cocking the gun back, I sent 3 bullets into his back. He turned around and charged towards me. I shot him 2 more times and watched him fall to the ground. She slowly opened the cabinet door to make sure he was the one who got shot multiple times. She got out and we got Julia then headed back to the car.

*2 days later*

We were soon zooming through the highway, looking for the best hotel to stay in for the night. We then found one that was perfect and parked outside of the doors.

I got out of the car and walked inside the main entrance. There was a lady and her Co worker at the desk chatting. We walked up to them.

"Hey, can we get a room with 3 separate beds please?"

She turned to me with a smile painted on her face. She seemed very nice.

"Sure, that will be 900 dollars."

I turned to Emmi, asking her how much money we had left.

"3k left"

I looked back at the lady who was waiting for my response and payed her. She soon gave us our room door and we headed over to the elevator. Julia clicked the button and as we were waiting to get on, I felt the lady's eyes on me. I glanced at her grinning, holding contact for 5 seconds and she looked away. The elevator finally responded to our call and we got in. I waved goodbye at her as the door closed in front of us. We arrived at our room and I immediately went inside the bathroom to take a shower. It's been 2 days you know. After spending 30 minutes in there, I walked out changed into new clothing and sat on my bed. My phone dings and I checked who it was. It was them again.

Tick tock, 9 more days left on the clock.

Calm down it's been 5 days so far I still have time. I'll have your money. Once I do, you better give anna back or we're gonna have a problem.

Yeah we'll see. And watch your mouth, you don't want trouble with me.

Holy shit, it was Anna. She looked so pale and weak with a gun being pointed to her head. What the actual fuck?

Oh hell no. I'll have your money before you know it and you will give me her back. Just you wait. 

I have to find her man. If I don't, it will be the end of me. I plugged my phone in and went to sleep.
