Chapter 3: Confession

Ag's pov:

The next morning I woke up and headed into the shower. I threw on a red shirt and some black sweatpants then went downstairs. Anna's mom was rushing around the kitchen getting her stuff for work and her brother was eating waffles. I figured Anna was still asleep since I didn't see her there. "Good morning Miss shumate, good morning Toby". Her mom turned around as I walked into the kitchen getting a bowl of cereal and toby waved at me. "Good morning, how was your first night? Do you want some waffles?" "It was great actually, the bed was very comfy and no I'm good I'll eat some cereal, thank you for the offer though". I poured the milk in the sat down next to Toby. "I'm glad you slept well but anyways I have to go to work and I'm dropping Toby off at his friends house for a while. When Anna wakes up tell her that her breakfast is in the microwave. If you ever change your mind there's still some left on the toaster." "Thanks Miss Shumate." "Anytime." She grabs her stuff and Toby follows her to the car. The engine started up and they were off. I finished up my cereal and headed back upstairs. As I was walking to my room I stopped by Anna's door and lightly turned the doorknob so I don't wake her up. She was lying there like a dead body, I pulled out my phone and started taking pictures of her and posted them on my story captioning it, "I think she's dead y'all". I forgot that my phone makes a sound whenever I take a picture and she woke up to it. She sat up rubbing her eyes and noticed me standing there in the doorway so she invited me in. I sat on the edge of her bed laughing. She looked up at me and smirked. "you weirdo, were you taking pictures of me?" "yeah I was, you looked dead. I thought I had to call the ambulance or something." She looked over at my phone to see the photo and laughed. "Guess you're right, you better not post them though." I looked at her then looked away scratching my head acting oblivious. "You posted them didn't you?" she said crossing her arms. "Maybe, maybe not." "You asshole." She punched my shoulder playfully while giggling as I sarcastically yelled in pain. We stopped fooling around and our eyes met. It felt like the perfect time to tell her. I opened my mouth to speak but I started to tense up. What's wrong with me? Why won't I say anything? She noticed it. "What's wrong?" she asked,  struggling to tell her how I feel, the words finally came out of my mouth. "h-hey um I need to tell you something."

Anna's pov:

my heart started racing. What is it that she wants to tell me? I hope it's not about what happened last night. Shoot I messed up. "Sure, what is it?" I said trying to sound confident. She looks at me and opens her mouth but nothing's coming out. I put my hand on hers letting her know that's it's ok. "I um... I don't know how to say this but Anna I like you...like a lot. I liked you ever since we met at playlist for the first time. I can't stop thinking about you. Everything about you is perfect. You have an amazing personality. You could literally do anything and I'd go crazy. From the way you scrunch up your nose when you smile to you the way your eyes light up over the smallest things. I don't know if you meant what you said whenever we flirted or not but just so you know I meant it. I've been trying to bury these feelings for a while now because I didn't want to ruin what we already have. I hope this doesn't mess up our friendship and if you don't feel the same way, I completely understand." I froze. Was this really happening? I can't believe it. This isn't real.

Ag's pov:

She's not saying anything. Shit, I messed up. I knew I shouldn't have said it. Now our friendship is ruined because of me. I began to apologize for confessing but got cut off as she came crashing into my lips. I couldn't comprehend what was going on but I just went along with it. I her kissed back and it became more passionate. I slowly pushed her down onto the bed, getting in top of her. I slowly started kissing down her lips, to her jawline and her neck. Her breathing got heavier. I paused then sat back up. No, this isn't right. She got up as well, confused as to why I stopped. "what's wrong?" she asked. "I don't know, I don't think it's the right time to do this. I don't wanna rush anything, I want you to feel comfortable." "it's ok, you're not rushing anything. Maybe we can try again another time?." She says standing up. "Yeah, sure. Oh yeah by the way, your mom left you breakfast in the microwave and you're little brother is at his friends house." "thanks for the update." she says, letting out a chuckle. 2 hours went by as we we were sitting in the living room bored out of our minds. I came up with an idea and proposed it. "Wanna go long boarding? We can watch the sunset as well then get some sonic." She lighted up by the idea and headed for the door. "Hey wait for me!"
