Ag's pov:
John lived in Zionsville, Indiana. He loved getting gifts from girl scouts and organizations for important causes. He wasn't the type to go out 24/7 so he spends most of his time home. Sometimes his neighbors would check on him to make sure he wasn't dead or anything. We got to the house and took out 3 boxes of cookies, a clipboard with fake signatures on it along with a pen and a ziplock bag filled with money.

I stepped on the porch and ringed the door bell. No response. I stood there ringing it continuously for what seemed like forever until he finally answered the door. John had on a grey t-shirt and some grey sweatpants. His hair was all over the place, eyes squinting at us as he yawned. I guess he just woke up.

"May I help you ladies?"

"Yes actually, it would be nice if you could sign our petition for our town to build an animal shelter for the pets that were abandoned and abused. If you do, you get 1 box of cookies but you have to pay for them."

"Sure I'll sign it."

Julia handed him the clipboard and he signed it. He reached for pockets and patted them down.

"I left my wallet in my room somewhere. You guys can come sit on the couch while I go get it."

"sure"

We walked into the living room and sat down while we waited for him to return. I sat across from Julia and Emmi. My mind was racing. It's been 3 days now, will we ever get the money in time? What if we're getting played? Why is this even happening? I promise I will beat the shit out of whoever stole Anna. This isn't fair. What did I do to deserve this? My leg started pouncing up and down as I got engulfed by my thoughts. I'm so scared right now. I just want to go home and be with Anna. I miss my friends and family. Miss Shumate is probably really worried about us now. Are the cops still searching for her? Will they find her? Will I ever see her again? My hand clenched onto the armrest of the sofa and my heart beat sped up. Emmi was watching me   lose my mind.

"Hey"

I looked over at her and smiled.

"what's up?"

"are you ok? You seem kinda...off"

"yeah I'm ok, i'm just thinking."

"whatever you're thinking about seems like it's making you anxious. You sure you don't wanna talk about it?"

"I said I'm fine. I don't want to talk about anything."

"ok, I was just checking."

I rested my back on the sofa and let out a sigh, looking up at the ceiling. Is this really my life right now? My mind started to clear up and I gave Emmi a look that read "we should kill him so we could get out of here already". She nodded and shook Julia who seemed like she was in her own world as well and got up as we tip toed to his room. John was still searching for his wallet in the mess he called his bedroom. Julia pulled out a knife and walked into the room behind him. She stabbed him twice and carried his body to the closest. She shoved him in there before locking the door behind her. We searched for his wallet and found it sitting on the dresser. I put it in my pocket. She wiped the knife and we got back in the car. We were now driving to our next victim, Hunter Reens but I was getting hungry so we stopped at McDonalds to pick up some food and continued our journey. I finished eating and went on Tik tok which probably wasn't the best idea. The comments were all about anna and I read through them all. I felt sick. Some of them were pretty messed up. People were fighting whether it was my fault or not. I got off the app before I saw something else that would've crossed the line for me. I opened up my messages and saw I had 50 messages. 20 from my mom and 30 from Mia. I opened my mom's first which caused me to tear up. She was really worried about me.  I checked Mia's and she was freaking out. I sent them both a text saying I'm ok and went through my camera roll. They were filled with pictures of silly pictures of me and Anna. I smiled at them, reminiscing what happened in each photo. I really miss you, I hope I find you soon. I can't leave Michigan without knowing you're safe home so the next time I visit you, you're there waiting for me. I lay my head on the window and fell asleep.
