Anna's pov:
I am in so much pain right now. Everything hurts. Everytime I tried to move just a little bit my body feels like its burning. Ag was seated beside me along with Emmi and Julia. Some guy named Donatello stood in the corner of the room watching us. My parents and siblings aren't here yet still which sucks because I miss them a lot. I want go home soon. The doctors ran a bunch of tests on me and were trying to stop me from bleeding out. They said once my parents get here they'll perform surgery on me so in the meantime I had to wait. Ag, Emmi and Julia tried their best to keep me entertained while we waited by telling me all the stuff that happened when they were trying to find me. The stuff they told me wouldn't be something I'd believe on a regular day basis but considering the shit we all went through I'm surprised they're not dead. The next day my parents came in and talked with the doctors. Ag stepped out a bit to get us some breakfast with Donatello.
Ag's pov:
Anna's parents came in and I was pretty hungry and tired from last night so I went with Donatello to get some food. We drove to a Dunkin Donuts and picked up 5 coffees and bagels. On our way back we decided to stop at a nearby park to relax ourselves a bit. We sat on a bench in front of a pond to watch the sunrise. I took a bagel out of the bag and started eating.
"Last night was crazy huh?"
I nodded as I finished up my food.
"Yeah man, something I never want to experience ever again. These past 2 weeks have been driving me insane. Everyday and night I was worried that I wouldn't get the money on time and they'll kill her but now I have something else to worry about."
"She'll be fine. She's in good hands now. She's really lucky to have you guys. You and your friends seem to care about her a lot."
"I really do, she's my best friend. I went to Michigan to spend some time with her but of course that got ruined. It's like nothing goes my way anymore."
"Well if it makes you feel any better, you're on the news and his warehouse blew up."
"Thanks I guess."
A silence fell in between us as we watched the sun slowly rise. I picked up a rock and threw it at the pond and watched it skip on the surface of the water.
"So how are you holding up with the situation of your brother?" I asked.
"Not too good. I'm trying to distract myself from it. My family isn't gonna take this well. We were supposed to go our sister's house next Wednesday for our niece's birthday party. She's turning 6."
"I'm sorry to hear that, tell her I said happy birthday."
"She has no idea who you are and I'm pretty sure she could care less. The only time she would is if you sent her something. She's the type of kid that will make your pockets hurt and catches an attitude with everyone." He laughed.
"I guess she's one of those kids."
"Yeah but she's a sweetheart I can assure you."

My phone started ringing and I checked to see who it was and to my surprise it's Emmi. I quickly answered it and started walking to the car. Donatello followed close behind.
"Hello? What happened? What's wrong?" I asked.
"Get here quick, it's an emergency." she says.
I never sprinted so fast in my entire life. I got in the car started it up. Donatello caught up luckily and we drove off.
We got to the hospital and ran through the building looking for Anna's room number. We reached her room and there were doctors crowding over her. I pushed through them to sit next to her. She looked weak. Sweat was dripping down her forehead, her eyes were darker and she looked pale... she was dying.
Anna's pov:
My vision was getting blurry and my heart monitor was beeping really fast. The doctors were trying to keep me awake but it wasn't working. My dad was arguing with one of the doctors, my mom took Brandon to the waiting room and my older brother was comforting Emmi and Julia. The doctors gave up, there was nothing they could do. I turned to Ag who had tears rolling down her cheeks and held her face. She held my wrists as I wiped her tears away.
"Don't cry it's ok. At least I got to see you again, maybe for the last time." I said.
"No don't say that. You're gonna make it, I know you will." she sniffled.
"I don't know man, it doesn't look like I am."
"You can't die yet."
"I don't want to die either."
"I'm gonna miss you so much..."
"Stay strong for me and everyone else. Before you go back to Kentucky I want you to take Jerry and take good care of him."
"Please don't leave me. I need you here. We all do."
My heart broke at her words. I pulled her up for a hug and held her tight. We stayed in the same position for a while before letting go. I held her hand, squeezing it for the last time and smiled weakly at her while I rubbed the side of her face with my other free hand. I don't want to go yet...
"I love you." she whispered.
"I love you too."
(That's all you're getting)
My eyelids were getting heavier and I was losing sight. I looked at Ag and everyone else for the last time and closed my eyes. Everything went pitch black.
Ag's pov:
My heart shattered into pieces when I heard Anna's heart monitor flat lined. She was gone for good. A nurse came in with a sheet and covered Anna's body head to toe. They then wheeled her bed out of the room and I left the hospital with Donatello, Emmi and Julia. Don flew us back to Michigan and dropped us off at Anna's house. Julia opened the door with the spare key under the mat and I ran to Anna's room. I grabbed Jerry and lied down on her bed sobbing. He still had her scent which made me miss her even more.
I can't believe it. She's gone forever. I'll never see her again. This is all my fault.
