She was always in your shadow.
Whether you noticed or not.
Time after time she was
compared and soaked in
your colours.
She was trapped, temporarily
lost.
No light was present, for you
took it all.
She would whisper, whilst you
let out a roar.
She was a ghost, never seen
never heard.
You were front, centre of attention.
She was not given any at all.
But one summery day, a light
beamed down on her face.
Showcasing what she was
truly made of.
She burned so bright, that
the shadow she was stuck
in for so long evapoured.
- Sometimes you are stuck in your siblings shadow and there is nothing you can do about it.
