Pluck, pluck pluck.
you went, destroying
her delicate feathers.
Taking apart her self - esteem.
Words spat out of anger
for no reason at all.
You loved riling
yourself up, so that
you felt in control.
Never listened,
Never payed attention.
Accusing was all you seemed
to do.
Being fair and reasonable
did not work with you.
So you chose to be a bully
instead.
It was a pointless argument.
You allowed your arrogance
to take over.
No effort to apologise was given.
You just left her alone, to
sufficate in your words.
You planted doubt into her
again.
You injured her soul with the
words you said.
When all you had to do was
listen.
