chapter 1

Ugggh! Stop! I reach for my alarm clock in my slumber to put that damn thing on snooze, after 5 minutes of struggle I finally decide to wake up. Its already 8 am. I have 20 minutes to get ready for college.

It's my last year and I just want it to get over as soon as possible I always thought my college life would be interesting and fun but it's quite opposite. It has been nothing but boring.

I choose to wear black jeans and top with a denim jacket its December for god sake and I am not a type of girl who will wear mini length skirt just for fashion like most of the girls in my college and I don't think I can pull off that hot look,
I like to wear clothes that are not too revealing.

My phone vibrates and I look for new messages
it's my mum she is asking me if I will be home this weekend

I really want to go but I just can't
a)the drive is 4hr long to Hamets and I have to take a cab which will cost me at least 100$
b) I have a lot of assignments piled up and I am planning to do them this weekend.

I quickly reply to her *no and leave for college.

The walk to my college is not long but
I hate to walk this early in the morning in winters. I rub my arms to keep myself warm and after a long dreadful walk, here I am.

I look at this huge entrance with a big-name carved on it "Clampton university" 100 feet high modern structure standing on 500 acres of lush green lawn and large flower trees dotting the landscape.

I was never going to apply here because I never thought that I will be able to get into this prestigious institution heck! I never imagined to leave that shitty town Hamets and go to college in Wiment the city of my dreams

Its time for my econ lecture so I head for the class lost in my own thoughts when I bump into someone wearing a green top

"ouch, watch it girl" I look up to see who it is and find its Amy

"oh it's you rhea," she says

"yaa it's me" I rub my head it hurts

"By the way, where are you going our lecture starts in what about 5 mins".

"Yeah so, this is college no one attends these boring lectures come let's go to the cafeteria I am hungry I haven't had my breakfast this morning"
she drags me by my hand outside the building.

"yeah I am hungry too," I tell her
I don't usually like missing my lectures but I feel like I have had enough. This month I will be graduating and getting my diploma. Few of my friends have even started looking for jobs.

Amy claps her hands with glee and after being friends with her for 3 years I can tell by the hysterical look on her face that she has some news to spill.

"We are going to a party this weekend and I know you will say no, you have to work blah blah but......"

"Wait what party? And Where is it?"
parties are not really my thing but I really want to have some fun, this is my last year so I should enjoy it a little bit

"It's at Cheryl's place so there is no way you can cancel" she smirks knowing that she is right.

"Why is Cheryl throwing a party?"

"It's for John, he just got a job in some mintif ltd company ".

"its mifit" I correct her and John got a job in mifits. He is just a year older than me and got a job in one of the largest company of Wiment. I should definitely start looking for one.

"Anyways you promised that we will complete our assignments together this weekend so you are coming tomorrow right?"

She agrees after making a face and we both head towards the cafe street

"If it's for John that means luke is going to be there?"

"yeah obviously he is john's best friend," she tells me as if I don't know

"now I am not sure about the party"

I look towards the large playground where few boys are playing basketball

"its okay Rhea. I know luke hits on you, big deal consider yourself lucky you know how many girls can kill you for that" she says and tries to hide a smile

"I know but it really makes me uncomfortable".

We have our lunch together, attend a few lectures and before I know the day is over.

When I get home to my apartment I start analysing about my decision to go to this party but I don't have any choice either Cheryl will have my head if I don't go and if I go I will have to bear Luke's cheesy as hell remarks.

2 months ago when we were hanging out. Cheryl invited her brother John to join us who brought along luke who is handsome with his sharp jawline, masculine body and all but not really my type! He was literally flexing about him the entire time which was damn annoying and when he started commenting about how my skin tight jeans look good on my ass....it was just uncomfortable for me. Since then he is on my hit list

I shower and sit on my study table switch on my laptop to look for internships I did one in my junior year but now I need to do something again
I can't just sit at home like this. I apply for a few internships and look at my wardrobe to choose my dress for that horrendous party.

I decide on my new pink dress with v neck it is slightly above my knees. I was just about to switch off my phone so I can get some of my essays done for my English class when I get a message from john

*you are gonna come on Sunday right?*

*Yep I guess so, why is that a problem?* I tease.

*No I thought you hated parties and I was going to convince you to come to handle a bunch of college kids playing lame ass games, like last time*.

*well, you can thank me that I saved your time*

*Haha see you then*

John is a good company he is a decent human being with a good heart we first met when Amy took me to Cheryl's house for a sleepover and we just hit it off instantly.

I complete my English essays and sleep after watching some documentary.
