It was raining heavily today when I left for the office and I had to take a bus because I ran out of petrol so I left my car parked in front of Macy's.

"Hey, I was waiting for you," Liam asks me when he sees me walking towards my desk. He was talking to this woman Amanda who I met in the elevator on my first day here

"Sorry actually my car ran out of petrol and the weather was_" I begin explaining but Liam starts introducing me

"Rhea this is Amanda and Amanda meet Rhea" Amanda smiles at him and walks cheerfully towards me before wrapping her hand around my arm

"We have already met Liam and thank me as I helped your case by telling her beforehand about your feelings," She informs Liam
I look at her in astonishment she vaguely might have mentioned something but I didn't pay much attention

"Then you owe me a favour because you ruined my surprise" Liam counters back

"Yeah, whatever," she unwraps her hand and says " see you Rhea" before turning and leave

"Come in" Liam grins at me

"You told her about us," I ask as I walk into the cabin behind him

"Yes we are really good friends.....and also she was my ex-girlfriend" he states with a shrug

"What?"

"I didn't tell you? "

"No Liam you didn't "

"Okay so now I did," he says with a tedious sigh

"You told me about your worst dates but you forgot to mention that you had a girlfriend "

"Yeah, Rhea I am a human it can happen right?"

" I guess "

"What are you......mad at me now ? " he looks at me with his eyebrows raised

" No Liam I am not mad at you "
I feel kind of uneasy like I am missing something and it is silly but I can't shake the feeling

"You don't tell me things either"

"I don't have any ex-boyfriends," I tell him

"No, you haven't told me that you are going to your home town this weekend. You also need to tell me things if you expect me to do the same "

"yep I am going with Amy and Cheryl
I am sorry I was going to tell you
It just slipped my mind "

"It's okay you don't need to apologise for that babe " he stands up from his chair to straighten up his black blazer and start moving towards me

"I was not purposely trying to hide it from you beside Amanda was nothing like you " he stops in front of me and pulls me to him

My heart is beating so loudly when he holds my waist, kisses me on my cheek and then looks at me with a smirk.

I gaze back at him when he says
"Also...." He doesn't complete so I ask

"Also what?"

"I need that report on Global heart hospital today itself" he whispers in my ears and then releases me.

"Yeah....okay, "I say instantly and run out of the cabin towards my desk listening to him laugh in the back

When I settle in my chair it takes me a minute to comprehend what just happened right now
We were so close that my ears are still burning and my heart is already out of control.

"Amy I am working right now" I shout on my phone
few heads turn towards me so I slow down my voice " I will call you afterwards"

" Listen we will be going in Cheryl's car so you come at her home tomorrow morning "

"You could have just texted me this"

"How is it going with your boyfriend boss?" she asks with a chuckle

"Bye," I hang up without replying and try to focus on completing the report on this hospital although I can't concentrate on this
Last night I was anxious about two things

Now Everything is going fine with Liam even better but there I still one left.... what is Cheryl hiding and if she is okay?
I will try to find out why is she acting so strange on this trip without pestering her.

I am done with the report on the hospital so I walk into Liam's cabin but his chair is empty
Where is he?
I didn't see him leaving.
I turn and look in the office but he isn't anywhere

I ask a girl whose name I can't recall but she sits near the elevator, she might have seen him going

"Excuse me has Liam already left?" She nods and says " I think I saw him going in Amanda mam's office "

This information gives me a weird feeling but it's stupid to overthink about them being together because they are co-workers and also he told me they are good friends

"Thanks"
I immediately run to the elevator and after reaching her office downstairs wonder for a second if I should knock or just go in but then I hear quiet murmuring noises

"Don't poke your nose where it doesn't belong"

"Does she know about your mum or anything about your family?

"Yeah she knows"

"Okay so how about this does she know who you really are?"

" Fuck off Amanda "

My whole mind has turned to mush what are they talking about?
Are they talking about me?
He hadn't told me anything about her mother so why is he lying?

And only when I decided to run upstairs the door opens suddenly and Liam comes out

"Rhea.....what .....what are you doing here?" He stutters

"I was coming to hand you this report"

"Email me"

"Oh okay"

We walk together to the elevator slowly neither of us knowing what to say but then he abruptly asks me

"Do you trust me, Rhea?" He looks at me intently for an answer.

I want to say yes but I can't because I don't know the answer for sure. To me, he is the sweetest guy I ever met who is cheerful and he is this optimistic person who came into my life as a light of dreams but is there something more? is there something he is hiding behind this generous face?

The elevator stopped but we are still standing in there face to face

"I trust you" I lie and his lips curl upwards he kisses my forehead

"That's what I need," he says before walking out and I stand there in my dilemma
