Chapter 9

I crash on Cheryl's couch and sigh with relief

Today at work everything was fine. Liam was, as usual, busy. We agreed to keep things strictly professional in the office so nothing changes and everything remains the same which is more than fine by me.

"So superwomen how is everything at work?" Cheryl questions and sit with me on the couch

"Super,"

"And with your boyfriend?"

"He is not my boyfriend" I was going to explain further but Amy and John comes burst in through the door laughing

"Jhonny you are so cute" she laughs louder then she looks at me and Cheryl "What's up, guys?"

"Why were you guys laughing so hard," I ask

"Nothing," they both say in unison. Amy giggling and John frowning

They both walk towards us John sits on love sit and Amy sits on my other side

"How was your day?" She asks looking at me

"It was good" I reply but she frowns and says "I was asking Cheryl" she is mad at me for some reason so I ask

"What did I do now?"

"You got a boyfriend Rhea and that too a handsome one" Amy shrieks and Cheryl starts laughing "what are you, 12?"

"He is not my boyfriend," I say but couldn't stop myself from smiling. All three of them raise their eyebrows looking at me

"So who went on a date with Mr Carter? and who is sulking that this is not going to work out"

"I am not sulking, " I say with a finality Amy and Cheryl both look at me.
"Yaa it seemed that you were pretty chill in the morning" they stopped by today in the morning before college and I was sleepy so I told them everything about our date

they know that it takes a lot of energy for me to filter out my thoughts in the morning

"Rhea Liam is a good guy believe me,"

"I know that John," I tell him

"So why are you worried?"

"It's complicated"

"She is worried that he is his boss and he will kick her out if they broke up which according to her is bound to happen," Amy asserts

"That pretty much sums it up" I look at Amy and she shrugs

"Is he your boyfriend or not?" Cheryl inquires

"I don't know okay.....what to call him we haven't established everything"

"I will talk to him if you want," John says and I refuse to him politely because it's not that big of an issue and I know I am paranoid for no reason so I will talk to Liam whenever we both get the time.

"Okay so let's go for some shopping then" Cheryl gets up and adjusts her shorts

"Shopping for what?"

"We are going to your home town this weekend"

"Yeah so?"

"We will be meeting your parents and I don't  have anything decent to wear so I need to go shopping"

"What? Don't tell me your wardrobe lack a modest pair of jeans", John scoff

She looks at John "Don't you have anything to do except for mocking me" she says with annoyance

"We will go with you it will also cheer Rhea up"

"Yeah, shopping is the way to cheer me up"sarcasm clear in my tone. I loathe shopping and they both know it
