21. Flashbacks

A/n here we go (f/a) means (fav animal), just thought I'd tell ya since it's mentioned a bit

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

We easily made it to a random rooftop, I am out of breath as I raise my hand up saying "we did it!" Then Donnie easily caught up saying "no, we didn't." Raph looks around saying "wait, where's-" "that's why we didn't win... three of the seven rescue team members got captured." Raph looks at Mona shocked as Leo asks "so Karai, April and Mikey got captured?" Donnie nods once. That's when I had realization hit me, I gave the real wand to April for her to hold while we rescued Donnie. "I think she also has her wand..." I say sadly, so Raph and Leo glare at me "what?!" They ask angered.

Leo and Donnie had to hold Raph back as he asks "how could ya let them take, not just our friends, but also the wand?!" I flinch at the yell. Mona rubbed his arm to help, but I glare at him "April was the one with the wand, Raphael. I didn't see you help her!" I yell, but we all sigh as Donnie says "first, let's go and get some sleep. We can plan how to save them in the morning" agreeing we start going down to the lair.. it's exactly how we left it, I feel so stupid. I could've done more to help, I could've made sure everyone made it out first before me.

Then it'd be easier to warn them before they got grabbed.... I sigh as I start walking towards my guest room that the guys are saying is mine. Since there isn't much of a way back that they know of yet, and I have no where else to go.. I guess it's (Y/n)'s room. Looking around it, I see more of Donnie's stuff than my own... well I do have clothes in the drawers now. That shopping day with April just seems a bit of a distant memory now since all of that Weeza stuff happened.

~Flashback~

Holding Donnie's t-phone I hesitantly call April... she answered saying "hey, Donnie, what's up??" I laugh gently at the greeting. "Wrong sewer kid, Ape" I answer as she chuckles nervously "oh yeah, I kind of forgot about you. (Y/n), right??" She asks as it sounds like she's getting comfortable on her bed or couch. Nodding my head like she could see me I say "the one and only, I just wanted to know if we could go shopping. You and me?? I kind of need some clothes" she screeched like a little girl saying "oh my gosh, yes! I'll be right over to pick you up."

Before I could say that I'd need about five minutes she hung up, so I playfully roll my eyes as I walk back towards the lab. My hand reaching up to knock on the door, a rhythmic knock Donnie tried to teach me yesterday. "(Y/n), I don't see why you knock, everyone else doesn't anyways" Donnie answers as I walk in. Chuckling I say "it's polite" he playfully rolled his eyes saying "even though you came back with my t-phone." Nodding my head I set it down on his desk saying "yeah, I guess I'm leaving once April gets here."

He looks at me shocked "really? That quickly??" I nod my head "I know, right!? I guess she just wanted an excuse to go shopping." We share a laugh at that, but I hear April yelling "(Y/n), don't keep me waiting!" So I chuckle again. "There she is, welp, I better go, bye Donnie D Doctor" I say and do finger guns 'oh shell, there's a lot wrong with me.' Donnie turns in his swivel chair with his gap toothed smile "'Donnie D Doctor'? Is that a new nickname??" Donnie asked me. I nervously smile saying "maybe.. see you later!" Then I walk out quickly out of embarrassment.

'Could I have said anything more embarrassing??' I thought to myself as I walked to April, she pulled me through the sewers to a manhole. Then she rushed me, telling me to go faster as I climbed up the ladder, then when she was up she pulled me again. It went like that until we finally reached a mall and she pulled me from store to store. Wouldn't have taken April to be that type of girl to want to go to every store before getting a new wardrobe. We were there for so long, a security guard tried to ask if we had enough money for all of this.

We showed him our money as April hurriedly pulled me to a different store... it went on like that for a while until I got empty handed. It was hard carrying all of the bags, so she had to call for back up as we carried the bags up. We went onto a rooftop and that's when the guys came and seen all of my bags, payed by both April and me.

~Different flashback~

Mikey wanted to help me try and get my room feeling more like me, so when I said I liked some stuffed animals, he had to go all out. Digging around old places for any of his old stuffed animals that he collected growing up. At least until we agreed on, like, three before I told him that I'd be fine with this.. a fun day that was. Now I have a stuffed monkey, a stuffed (f/a) and a stuffed fox, on top of my dresser.

~Another flashback~

Karai... didn't get to know her all that much, but we had some fun talking one night when she came down to the lair and Leo was deep in meditation. We had to kick Donnie out so we could actually talk, it was like a best friend sleepover. Having to talk about the other's boyfriend (or crush), but before I could talk about Donnie, we knew he was eavesdropping. Sneakily we walked over to the door and Karai opened it, somehow knowing Donnie'd fall. I however, didn't know that was gonna happen, and I got tackled to the floor as Donnie tried to regain his balance.

We glared at him as he nervously laughed "oops..." he said and his face was so red as he apologized a lot of times while getting off of me. Then when he ran out Karai closed the door and I just told her that I don't like anyone right now. Which got her going on and on about Leo... don't get me wrong, best brother figure, but I didn't need to hear how thick his thighs are.

~End of flashbacks~

I sigh as I get close to walking in, but a hand grabbed my wrist, turning around I see Donnie right there as he's holding my wrist. "Wanna hang out??" He asks with a nervous smile, so I smile softly and say "sure, let's go in. Ya know, it might as well be both of our room" he looks at me shocked as he closed the door. We both laugh a little as I say "yeah, most of your stuff is in here, I only have clothes and three stuffed animals." Donnie nervously chuckled "well, do you want me to take down my pictures??" He asks and points at them.
