Chapter 23 // it won't work

" Reece , can I meet you ? At Starbucks ? Now ? " I told Reece urgently .
" Okay sure ! " .

I waited for Reece in Starbucks . When he finally came in , he let out a huge sigh .

"Okay so Rina , what's the problem ? "

"We have only been together for just 1 day and a lot of things aren't working out .This relationship , it won't work . Especially with Charlie . Can we take a - "

" No . Rina . Stop there! I don't want to hear anymore . Especially about Charlie ! Things are going to work . It has been barely a week . We have to stick together, " I never seen Reece this angry before . But he later on took both my hands and smiled at me .

"Okay , but Reece , you know I love you . But Charlie is your best buddy , I don't want to break you two up ," I added letting out a sob .

Reece nodded and pulled me into a hug , stroking my hair , telling me it's alright . Reece was there for me and I had nothing to worry about .

It has been months since I talked to Charlie and also me and Reece has been going out for months .Sadly , Charlie didn't sit beside in class anymore . He didn't sit with me during lunch . I was lonely . But whenever I felt alone , Reece was always there for me . In my luck ( im sarcastic ) , i'm friends with a girl in school who wears dresses a few centimeters below her butt and heels that is taller than Mount Everest and Make-up as thick as blood . I haven't been talking to Reece for this 3 days because Reece told me that he had errands to run out of London . But sadly , Reece didn't text me or face timed like he usually do . It's like whenever I tried talking to him he'll say his busy . There's something wrong but i'm sure Reece won't hide anything from me . Charlie hasn't uttered a word to me since last 4 months and I have not been able to reach Reece for 3 days STRAIGHT . My life if hands down , miserable .

The girl I was talking about earlier is called , Britt . She invited me to sit with her during lunch today . We got our food and sat beside each other , face to face .

" Hey girl , " Britt greeted me .

" Hi . So what's up ? " I asked her .

" I wanted to ask you , the first few weeks of school you and Charlie have been really close , but how come now , you guys barely talk to each other ? "

" Oh about that , it's just stuff between me and him , Britt . I don't want to talk about it , " I replied her sighing .

" No worries girl . So are you on with a new boyfriend? "

"No , Charlie isn't my boyfriend , ever . "

" I see , " She said nodding .

My phone started buzzing it was a phone call from Reece.
"Sorry Britt , I'll have to take this , " she nodded in agreement .

"Hey Erin ! "
" What's up ? "
"I'm back in London and I thought you want to go out with me later ? "
" Sure ! "
" See you at the usual ! "
"You got it ! "
" Bye Rina , I'll see you "

I was so glad that Reece is finally back !

I sat down at the bench waiting for Reece . Waiting , waiting and waiting . He said he'd meet me but he isn't here .
I called Reece total 43 times and he didn't pick up . But I still waited for him . But I knew it was time to go home when it soon got dark . I went home running with puffy eyes .

" Erin what happened ? " Dee asked me sympathy evident in her eyes .

" Reece , he stood me up , " I replied sobbing .

" No honey , there's no way he could do so ! " Dee said hugging me .

I let go of her hug and went into my room . I cried myself to sleep that night . But there was no suprise when Reece didn't answer my text. I just needed rest . I didn't have anybody but Dee . I love her and I love Ree- no I love Char- I love nobody from STEREO KICKS . I should have known , they were the boyband I hated from the bloody start . Why am I so dumb ?
