The doctors rushed in and pushed Mason to the side. He watched as the doctors fussed over her. The doctors were shouting bit his mind was elsewhere to register it. Once they finally calmed down, Mason looked up, hopeful.
"How is she? The baby?"
"She okay. A little weak. It was just some bleeding from where she hit her stomach. That's the best way I can put it from confusing you with doctor stuff. We did manage to save the baby. She will need a lot of rest. Please try and keep her away from any stress. Even the slightest raise in blood pressure and any extra strain on her will be fatal for the baby and herself. She is already weaker than most pregnant woman at this stage because of her recent treatment of chemo."
Mason sat down next to a crying Katelynn and held her hand.
"Mason, the baby! The baby-"
"Is okay. He said not to put any extra strain on you otherwise it would be fatal to the baby."
"Mariah...Where is she?" Astrid smiled and wiped away the tears from Katelynn's face.
"She's with Chris. You gave us quite the scare there."
