I hit the send button, after reviewing what I wrote for almost 10 minutes.

I checked my phone and thought "I still haven't heard back from Colette. She did see my messages."

Stretching my arms, I got up to get lunch at the cafe down the building. Had a tuna sandwich and clam chowder that I almost could not finish, but thankfully I did.

On my way back to the office, I stopped by the convenience store and ran into Kyle buying large bags of chips.

"Hey Jaz!" he called out enthusiastically.

"Hi Kyle." I replied softly. "Let me get a pack of sour tapes, and wait up for me."

"Yep, sure."

I ended up picking up a pack and a couple chocolate bars.

Kyle stood at the side carrying a paper bag full of chips, waiting for me to receive my change.

"I heard Lia won't be joining you guys in Seoul."

"Yeah, did she tell you the details about it."

"Yep, she did. She's pretty close with all of us, you know, well except for Jen, maybe that's another reason why she decided to back out." He laughed at his own joke.

I elbowed him, "Shhhh, what if someone hears you?!" panicking for him.

"Don't worry, it was just a joke." he patted my head as we got on the elevator.

Kyle and I have known each other since college, and has been my best friend since then.

He's a smart guy, coming in second place at graduation, was accepted at Holiday before I was, and not to mention, was actually the heartthrob in our department.

I honestly did not see what girls, or guys, found good-looking about him.

He's my best friend and I guess being friends, I knew him better than others, especially his bad side, that I am sure no one would find attractive.

We arrived back at the office, I quickly inserted my sweets in my bag.

I moved to Jen's table gathering the visual materials I needed for the meeting with Mr. Gann at 3 PM.

Colette finally got back to me.

And it was a reply I did not expect

And it was a reply I did not expect.

Two out of five.

I typed my reply faster than lightning.

"OMG!"

"I need to get things sorted out with the company first."

"I need to get things sorted out here as well," she replied.

I could not believe it.

It's been so long since we last saw each other in person and we're now having a mini reunion thanks to our fields of work.

I knew I didn't choose the wrong career!

I was in a great mood to meet people after my conversation with Colette.

I met with Mr. Gann, it was a good thing I was all smiles during the meeting or he wouldn't have been easy to deal with.

The meeting ended at 4:30, earlier than I expected it would, and Mr. Gann was satisfied with the changes Jen had made.

It was 5:30 when I arrived back at the office.

The sky was in the same beautiful ombré it was yesterday.

I received a message from Miss Holly.
