The performances of each dance team were on point with powerful moves and fierce facial expressions. Since it was a competition, there would be a winner.
"For the 10th time in a row, the Hongdae Street Dance Champion is HOPE World Dance Academy!"
The crowd cheered for the boys who performed unimaginable dance moves with ease and incorporated aerobic stunts into the set.
"10th time?!" Fiona was surprised.
We continued to observe the boys who had just won Champion. After thanking the crowd for their support, the smiles on their faces turned into frowns. They walked away from the crowd into a dessert shop, towards a man sitting in the corner of the store.
The man wore dark sunglasses, a mask, and a black bucket hat.
"That must be their manager." Joanne commented.
"I think it's their boss." Colette added.
We could see through the glass window, their heads faced down to the floor.
"Are they getting scolded?" Jane looked at me.
A while later, they all stood up and walked out the door, one by one. The man walked out last.
"Should we follow them?" I asked the group.
We tried our best to look like average tourists exploring the Hongdae night life.
We stayed across the street admiring our surroundings and the busy stalls while taking glances at the team. We stopped at a stall selling fish cakes, Colette and Fiona couldn't help themselves.
As the two bought fish cakes, the three of us looked to where the team had entered. A five-story orange building, some lights were on on the third and fourth floors, then the entire second floor lit up.
