Chapter 14

I open my eyes and turn to see no one beside me, only a note. I pick up the note and read.

Goodmorning mamas. I'm sorry I'm not here this morning, but it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. I can't wait to see you walk down that aisle today. I love you!❤

I smile at the note and set it down on the bedside table before getting out of bed. I hear a knock on the door and go to open it.

"Hi mom." I say smiling at her.

"Hi Haiden." She says.

"Are you ready?" I ask her.

"Well apart from getting my hair done, yes I am." She says, "And I helped Laela get ready once she finished lunch."

"Wait... lunch, what time is it?" I ask.

"Um, around 12:30." Mom says looking at her phone.

"Well, I better get a shower. My friends will be here shortly." I say.

She nods her head and leaves so I can take the shower.

Once I get out of the shower, I dry off and then dry my hair before putting on a robe my mom had gotten me as well as the basic necessities. I go downstairs and see my friends, mom, and Laela.

"Oh, I forgot to mention that your dad, Talon, and Luka went with Tony to get ready and finish setting up." Mom says.

"Okay. So, ready to get ready?" I ask everyone.

"Yeah!" They all exclaim.

We all get our dresses on before the hair stylist and makeup artist arrives. Avani, Addison, Kouvr, and Mia all had their hair and makeup done before coming here. The hair stylist starts on mom's hair first while the makeup artist does Dixie's makeup.

Once the hair stylist is done with mom, she goes to do Charli's hair. She then goes to do Laela's hair before doing Dixie's. The makeup artist does Charli's and my mom's makeup.

"Is it okay if we put some makeup on Laela?" She asks me.

"Yes. Laela, you want some makeup?" I ask.

"Yes please!" Laela days happily.

"Princess, before you get your makeup done, where is true beauty found?" I ask.

"In our hearts and smiles." She says smiling at me.

"Good job. Now you may go get your makeup done." I say.

She goes over with the makeup artist while hair stylist starts on my hair. When she finishes, the makeup artist does my makeup while everyone is talking.

"Oh, Laela, can you go get mama's camera?" I ask her.

She nods her head and runs upstairs to get it. She comes back down and hands it to me. I turn on the camera and hand it to Kouvr.

"Look at the beautiful bride everyone." Kouvr says pointing the camera towards me.

I smile a little before the makeup artist continues.

"So, are you excited?" Charli asks.

"Very, but I'm also very nervous. However, just like Tony continues to remind me, it'll all be worth it in the end because we get to spend the rest of our lives together." I say.

"Aww." Addison says.

The makeup artist finishes and she hands me a mirror. Once I see myself, I feel tears come to my eyes.

"This is so beautiful." I say quietly.

"Aww, Haiden, don't cry sweetie." Mom says coming over to me.

I fan my eyes to help the tears go away and hand the mirror back before standing up.

"Wait, we gotta get a full body look." Mia says.

"Yeah, we definitely do." Avani adds on.

Kouvr moves back so she can get my whole body in the video. I turn around so Kouvr could get the back of my dress and the hair before turning to face them again.

"Mama, you look pretty. You look like a princess." Laela says walking over to me.

"Aw, thank you baby." I say kissing her cheek after I pick her up.

I spin around with her not realizing Kouvr was still filming.

"Haiden, that would make the perfect slow motion clip." Charli says.

I smile at her before setting Laela down on the floor.

"You ready to go Haiden?" Mom asks.

"Yeah." I say with a smile.

The girls cheer and we head out the cars.

We make it the wedding venue, which so happens to be the beach. I see a tent set up for changing and head over there with Laela.

"Wow, Haiden, you look beautiful." Dad says walking over to me.

"Thanks dad." I say giving him a hug.

"And Laela, you look beautiful as well." He says picking her up.

"Thank you grandpa." She says wrapping her arms around him.

He kisses her cheek and then sets her down.

"Grandpa, do you know where daddy is?" She asks.

"Yeah, I'll take you to him so your mama can make sure she's all ready." He says, "I'll be back in time to walk you down the aisle."

"Okay dad." I say.

He kisses my cheek and leaves with Laela.

"Hai- woah." I hear someone say.

I turn and see Ondreaz standing there looking at my dress.

"Hey Ondre." I say.

"You look pretty." He says smiling at me.

"Thanks. Um, how's Tony doing?" I ask.

"He's doing goodish now, but earlier he was a complete mess. How are you?" He asks.

"I'm doing good. Definitely a little nervous this morning, but I'm doing good now." I say.

"That's good. Oh, looks like someone's here to make sure you're ready." He says pointing over my shoulder.

I turn to see mom standing there waiting for me.

"I better go." He says hugging me.

"Okay. Bye Ondre." I say.

He waves to me and then leaves the tent.

"Sweetie, are you ready?" Mom asks walking over to me.

"Yeah. Just waiting on dad." I say.

"Okay. I still can't believe you're getting married." She says.

"Neither can I." I say with a laugh.

"Oh, Kouvr asked me to film, but can you teach me a little?" She asks.

I nod my head and walk her through how to film before dad came into the tent.

"They're ready for you Haiden." He says.

"Okay. Better go to your seat mom." I say.

"Okay. I love you." She says hugging me.

"I love you to mom." I say before she walks away.

Dad links his arm with mine before we make it to the edge of the tent.

"Take a deep breath Haiden." He says.

I take a deep breath and nod when I'm ready. He moves the tent flap out of the way before we step out.
