Chapter 29

I pull out my phone when I feel it go off in my pocket. I see a text from Gabbie, so I open it.

Gabbie🌸: hey, Lavender and I will be there soon.

Me: okay, see you two soon.

Gabbie🌸: oh, is Tony gonna be there today? You mentioned last week he might be there, but you weren't sure

Me: no, he had to go to some meetings with his brother today

Gabbie🌸: okay

I turn off my phone and put it back in my pocket before I'm attacked by the twins.

"Mama, when are Gabbie and Lavender gonna be here?" Laela asks.

"Gabbie said they'll be here soon." I say.

"Yay!" Laela cheers.

"Luka, are you excited?" I ask.

"Kinda, but there's too many girls." He says.

"I'm sorry baby, but I know you'll have fun." I say giving him a smile.

"Okay mama." He says smiling back at me.

I hear Easton starting to whimper through the baby monitor. Luka lets go of my leg and I go upstairs to grab Easton.

"Hi baby, you hungry?" I ask even though I know he can't answer me.

I see tears in his eyes but he had stopped crying. I pick him up and feed him before changing him and putting him in a pair of shorts and a shirt. I pick him up and hold him on my hip before going downstairs. I see a car pull into our driveway and assume it's Gabbie.

A couple seconds after the car pulls in, I see Gabbie get out and go to grab Lavender as well as a bag. I open the front door and go outside to greet her.

"Mama, wait for us!" Laela yells before running outside with Luka following her.

"Hi Gabbie." I say giving her a smile.

"Hi Haiden. It's nice to meet you." She says, returning the smile.

"It's nice to meet you too." I say.

"Lav, can you say hi?" Gabbie asks.

Lavender waves and gives me a smile. I wave back and smile at her as well.

"Hi Lavender. Oh, this is Easton and those two are Luka and Laela." I say while pointing to each kid.

"Hi Luka, Laela, and Easton." Gabbie says.

"Hi." Laela says smiling at her.

"Hi." Luka says quietly.

Easton just stares at her making us laugh a little.

"You wanna let the kids get their energy out on the trampoline out back?" I ask.

"Yeah. I'm not too sure about Lavender on the trampoline, but if I were on their I'd feel more comfortable." Gabbie says.

"That's totally fine. There's enough room on the trampoline for all of us to be on it." I say.

"Okay. Oh, is there a place I can put my bag?" Gabbie asks.

"Yeah. You can put it over on the table." I say while leading her inside.

She nods her head and sets it on the table before following me outside. I set Easton on the trampoline before helping the twins on. Gabbie puts Lavender on the trampoline as well before getting in after her. I follow after Gabbie and grab Easton before sitting down with him next to Gabbie.
