Chapter 5

Chapter 5- The Play

You came home crying and into your dad's arms.
"(N/N)! What happened?!" He asked as you cried against his chest.
"The other kids! They were mean to me again!" You sobbed as your mom ran to you.
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry," She rubbed your cheek, which was bruised.

"Why do they have to be mean?! They said I'm a freak of nature!" You hiccuped through your words.
"It's okay sweetie, we're here," Your dad lifted you up and laid you on the couch.
"You're not a freak (N/N), you're our daughter and we wish they weren't like that," Your mom sadly said.

"I-it's okay mommy, they just threw rocks today," You rubbed your tears away and they gave you a sad smile.
"Hey, look at me (Y/N)," you looked at your dad and he smiled at you.
"You may be unable to fight them, but you can always threaten them!" Your mom hit his head as you gave out a small laugh.

"(D/N)!" She scolded.
"Okay I'm half joking! But seriously (Y/N), don't let their words and violence change your way of seeing this world, Carnivores and Herbivores may see you as someone different, but you make them see you as a symbol of peace!" He said lifting you up, making you squeal and giggle.

"One day my little Fox Panda, they'll prove you wrong!" Your mom laughed as your dad spun you around.

"Yeah! One day I'll show I'm strong!"

"I'm strong," You mumbled leaning against the wall of the biology room.
"What was that (Y/N)?" Fudge asked you.
"Oh nothing, I was just thinking about this room. We never had this back at my old school," You said looking at the other Red Pandas.

"It's awesome right? Seeing what we lived in way back then? So exotic," He smiled.
"Yeah..." You gave a small smile and looked at the bamboo all around.

'That's different since I am a half blood, but whatever it takes to avenge Tem,'

It was the day, the day where Adler was being playing and you were backstage with the rest of the crew.
"There are freshman beyond those curtains, excited to watch our show for the first time. Don't worry, do what you rehearsed." Louis explained walking back and fourth. You weren't gonna lie, he looked good in his costume.

'Stop thinking that (Y/N), he's a student and I'm here to investigate, not find love,' You shook your head.
"Our bond stayed firm even after the Incident," Your ears perked at that.
"This is a very special club. What we show on stage is how both carnivores and herbivores live to the full extent. Understand?," He explained.

You all nodded and the crew walked off to get in places.
"And (Y/N)," You jumped at your name and he stared at you.
"Go help with the lights," he got close to your face and you felt his breath against you.
"Don't screw up," He growled. You quickly backed away and nodded, speeding walking to the catwalk to see Legoshi.

"Oh, hey (Y/N)," He nervously waved.
'Dang it, why is she here too? The things me made me feel with Haru,' He thought looking away.
"Hey, Louis told me to check here too, I got nothing to do so I wanna hang out here," You simply said sitting down. He only hummed and with that, the show started.

Louis was amazing at his performance, you were going to lie about it, the entire audience stayed silent until the end. 'Ellen' followed him to the end and he gave out a speech about his love and death, and with that, 'Ellen' died in his arms. It was truly a good show.

'Damn, I think I shed tears on that,' You chuckled wiping tears away. Just as the curtains were closing, you faintly saw Louis fall and you immediately stood up. No one else noticed.
"What's wrong?" Legoshi asked worriedly.

"Something's wrong,"

You all stood at Louis bed as he was resting. You sighed and rubbed your head.
'Reckless kid, he knew how much pain he was in and yet he still preformed. I would be proud if he wasn't such an idiot,' You thought as he started to stir.
"What happened... Wait! What about the audience?" He asked, not caring about himself.

"You collapse after the curtains closed, no one else noticed," You mumbled. He nodded and looked down.
"Don't worry, it's 8, and according to the nurse, you broke your left leg. That means you won't be able to preform next show," Bill explained.

"Bill!" You elbowed him.
"What? Why shouldn't I tell the truth? Especially to Louis?!" He defended himself. Everyone started to talk over each other as Louis looked down.
"What? You're treating me with kid gloves? It's just a broken leg." He growled and looked at Bill.
"Bill," The Siberian tiger jumped and looked at Louis.

"You will be my replacement, for tomorrow's show you'll be playing Adler" You looked at Louis with surprisement.
"Oh! Really?!" Bill asked in excitement.

'Oh jeez, let's see how this goes down,'

"Why you look so down Legoshi? I'm the one who wanted to be it," Kai groaned placing a box on a table at rehearsal.
"Kai don't be stingy, you know he doesn't do well with others," You glared at him, making him sigh and walk off.

"I mean, you could be good too (Y/N), after all, you are ha-" You quickly covered his mouth as Legoshi sighed in relief.
"Just go get the other boxes," You hissed. Bill walked up and wrapped his arm around Legoshi.

"Hey! It's fine! Even if you mess up no one will notice. It is a minor role after all," He grinned. You groaned and hit him leg.
'Why do I have to surround myself with idiots? Haru is much better company' You thought.
"Then why don't we remove it?" Legoshi asked.

Legoshi and Bill were on the mini stage and we're getting ready to practice the sword fighting.
'Honestly, I was glad I didn't get picked on this. Having this and Tem's murder on my mind is too much for me,' You hummed to yourself as Legoshi and Bill started to fight.

You noticed that Bill wasn't pushing back, thinking it was because both were Carnivores.
"They're rehearsing right?" Tabu asked worriedly.
"Maybe, but I think Bill is venting," Tao replied. You stared intensely at their movements.

'Only Carnivores move like that, from the crime scene, I have to admit it was from a Carnivore who killed Tem,' You clenched your fists and quietly bared your teeth. As Bill and Legoshi finished, rehearsal was over.
"Can't wait time see me in all my glory right (Y/N)?" Bill laughed and hugged you.

"Yeah, and it'll be hard to do if you're crushing my ribs," You wheezed out, making him let go and rub his neck while laughing.

"Sorry!"

It was second day of Alder and you were helping Legoshi with his script.
"You need to stand tall and breath through your chest." You said patting his chest.
"I-it's fine (Y/N), really," He stood up and nervously rubbed his face.

'She needs to stop touching my chest, I feel weird if she does it,' Legoshi thought as Bill walked in in his Grim Reaper costume. You both immediately stopped and sniffed the air.
'That smell... it can't be...' You froze for a moment as Legoshi turn to face Bill, who looked nervous.

"Bill... you..." Legoshi had a angry look on his face as Bill quickly excused himself. Legoshi walked after him as You reassured Tanu that everything is fine.

'That couldn't be rabbit blood... right?'
