"Eli?!" I yelled out. I looked around the basement for him.

"They're down here!" Someone shouted.

"Oh my God!" I squealed, realizing what I had done.

They're gonna arrest me. My life is over. I hid under some boxes but they found me. It was two cops that looked young. Newbies from the look of it.

"You are under arrest for the murders of your parents and your uncle Seth. You have the right to remain silent-" one cop began.

"That's not necessary, ladies," a lady said from behind them. I couldn't see who it was because my back was facing her.

"This man is very dangerous. He's killed three people," the second cop said.

"Eh. Rookie numbers, am I right?" The woman asked.

"Excuse me-" the first cop began. From the sound of it, the lady cut the cop's throat.

"Oh my G-" the second cop screamed before her throat was cut.

"Holy shit," I said as I watched their bodies hit the floor.

I saw her take the key out of the first cop's pocket and use it to take the handcuffs off of me. I turned around and my mouth dropped.

"Elizabeth?" I asked.

She smiled. "Are you surprised?" She asked.

"Yeah. You hate me!" I exclaimed.

"I don't hate you, darling. I hate Breanna and James. You haven't done anything to me," she explained.

I crossed my arms. "Where's my brother?" I asked.

She furrowed her eyebrows. "I don't know," she answered.

"Bullshit. What did you do to him?" I asked angrily.

Her eyes grew darker. "I didn't do shit. And you shouldn't be so mean to me. I just saved your ass," she said bitterly.

She was right. She did save me. "Why did you save me?" I asked.

"Because I heard your story. Quite depressing. And you don't deserve to go to jail for that," she said.

My eyes widened with anger. "What?! How do you know my story?" I asked.

"Calm down. Word spreads fast," she said.

"Who'd you hear it from?" I asked.

"The hooker. What's her name?" She asked.

"Sally. And Sally wouldn't tell you shit. She hates you," I said.

"Actually, she doesn't. I saved her life at some point. And we got along quite well," she explained.

"Why should I believe you?" I asked.

She laughed sarcastically. "Everyone always asks me that question. Why should I lie? Everyone hates me enough," she said.
