After Sean explained everything to Mikey, he paused and took a deep breath.
"Any questions?" He asked.
"Uh- no. I think I'm good. I hate to say this, but your parents needed to be put in their place," Mikey began, walking over to Sean and putting his hand on Sean's shoulder. "Good parents shouldn't hurt their children because of their sexuality. And no person should hide behind their religion either."
"Agreed," I said.
"Is it bad that I feel better with them gone? I feel safer," Sean said.
"No. Of course not. They were horrible parents and people. You are much safer here than there," I explained.
"And now that I'm here, I won't leave again. I promise," Mikey said.
"But your family. You can't stay here forever," Sean said.
Mikey chuckled a little. "I've been disowned. I've been living by myself for a few months," he explained.
"What?! But you said that your sister would never-" Sean began.
"She overdosed. She's gone," He responded.
Sean gasped. "I'm so sorry. I should've been there for you," he said.
"It's not your fault. Plus. You're a runaway now," Mikey said with a smile. They both stared at each other for awhile.
"I'm gonna check on James. I'll be back later," I said, sensing the tension.
"Okay. Thanks," Sean said.
I gave him a small wink and walked out of the room.
Sean's POV
As soon as Breanna left, I stood up to face Mikey. "I really missed you," I whispered.
He smiled. "I missed you too."
Then I kissed him. Something I wanted to do since the first time we kissed. He broke apart from me.
"I thought you weren't into guys?" He asked.
"That was a lie," I said.
He smiled again. "So why did you push me away the first time?" he asked.
"Because I was terrified of rejection from my family. I was taught that being gay was a bad thing. But now I realize that not accepting yourself is worse. And I don't fucking care whether or not I go to hell. I love you, Mike!" I exclaimed.
"I love you too," he said. I swear that I saw stars in his eyes.
Then we started kissing again. This time we didn't stop until we took our shirts off. He shoved me onto the bed.
Sally's POV
"That was fun," Eli said, dumping the last victim down the chute. He licked some blood off of his hand.
"Yeah it was," I said sadly. I started walking away.
He grabbed my hand. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing," I said with a reassuring smile.
