James's POV.
"Mikey. Stay here and watch the children. We'll figure this out," Breanna said to Mikey as she grabbed my hand.
We didn't give Mikey time to respond as we ran out of the room. We ran out to where the officers were taking Sean in handcuffs.
"Officers! What seems to be the problem here?" I asked.
"I'm going to need you to step back, sir. This is a wanted criminal. I will send someone to talk to you in a minute," one of the officers explained.
Breanna was counting how many officers there were. "There's five of them. We can take them out," she whispered to me.
"Wouldn't that look quite suspicious, darling?" I asked her.
"I suppose, but we can make a plan as we go," she replied.
"Breanna, sweetheart. Is this the smartest plan?" I asked, grabbing her hand.
"You gotta better idea?" She asked.
I looked at the police officers. "I do, actually," I said.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Do you remember my friend John?" I asked as I led her away. I turned to give a wink to Sean, who was confused.
Sean's POV.
They sat me down in a room and gave me a glass of water. I refused to touch it.
"We brought you here to ask you a few questions," The detective said.
"I'm not sure what you want me to answer. I haven't done shit," I said.
"Let's start off with the whereabouts of your brother. Is he in the hotel with you? We couldn't find him," the detective said.
I didn't answer. I just stared at the ground.
"Alright then. Let's start at the beginning. Did you kill your parents?" She asked.
"No. We ran away from them," I answered.
"Really? Why?" She asked, writing something down on a piece of paper.
"They were abusive. Homophobic. They sent me to a fucking conversion camp. Look it up in my records," I explained.
"We already did. It said you were put in a hospital," she said.
"No. No it's wrong. I was tortured there. And at home too. Me and my brother were adults when we left," I said.
"That's not the problem here, Sean. The problem is your leaving right before your parents and your uncle were murdered," she said.
"I don't know how to prove that we didn't do it. Cause we didn't. Do you have proof that we did it?" I asked.
"Not yet. But we'd like to keep you in custody because you don't have an address," she explained.
"Isn't that illegal?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"No. It's a precaution. Now I'd appreciate it if you'd tell us where your brother is so we can get him safely," She said.
