Zhao Xiaotang was in a dilemma.

Zhao Cooperations, as we all know, is Zhao Xiaotang's pride and joy. These days, it's up and running high on the stock market, meaning Xiaotang has extra work to do to keep up the good results. On the other hand, Shuxin is the love of her life. In fact, her parents have been pressuring her to propose to Shuxin.

So the problem?

She hasn't got enough time or energy to do both at once.

Xiaotang really wants to marry Shuxin. Really. She wouldn't spend the rest of her life with anyone else. Ever. Of course she has proposing on the cards. It's just that she had no time to go pick out a ring yet. Or to plan a Zhao Xiaotang style romantic getaway to the beach.

Shuxin, of course, knew about all of Xiaotang's problems. Shuxin wants to marry her, too. But she can't be selfish and pressure Xiaotang to propose soon. The CEO has a lot on her plate right now, and she constantly needed to be reminded not to bite off more than she can chew. Shuxin has already given much thought about how and when her lover will pop the question. Knowing Xiaotang, she would plan a getaway to a really romantic place and then propose. But, Shuxin was quite busy herself, filming dramas and reality shows. There was no room for a vacation in their schedules.

Xiaotang sighed as she leaned back in her chair. She had a meeting to attend in thirty minutes, but work wasn't on her mind.

What was plaguing the mind of the ever-so-professional Madame No-bullshit Zhao Xiaotang?

Guilt was. And it was chewing a chunk out of her heart.

Xiaotang felt guilty that she couldn't keep the promise she had made to her dad. The promise that she'll marry Shuxin when he wakes up. She really needed to get to buying a ring.

Come to think of it, I have a day off tomorrow.

Xiaotang's mood brightened at the thought of it. She can go ring shopping tomorrow with her gang-gang.

Wait a fucking minute.

But she kinda told Shuxin that she'd be with her the whole day tomorrow. That's the problem. Xiaotang sulked in her seat, wondering when the hell did her life become this sour.

Brrt! Brrt!

"Hello, love?" Xiaotang picked up her phone.

"Tangtang~" Shuxin's sweet candy voice filled Xiaotang's ears. "I need to tell you something."

"What is it, baobei?"

"I don't think I can make it back from Guangzhou tomorrow. One of the actors in the variety show kinda got injured while filming so we have to postpone the set until tomorrow."

"Awwn, that's terrible, Yu egg! Is he okay?"

"He'll be fine. Just a sprained ankle. Nothing too big."

There was a moment of silence.

"I'm sorry I can't make it back home tomorrow, baobei," Shuxin mumbled guiltily. "It was supposed to be our day and all."

"It's fine baobei, really," Xiaotang reassured her lover. "I'll take another day off when you get back so that we can spend time together, okay?"

"Yay!! Tangtang, you're the best!"

Xiaotang hung up the call and smiled. Maybe life wasn't so sour after all.

"Rise and shine, motherfuckers!"

Yu Yan squinted as her blanket - the only barrier protecting her from the glaring sunlight seeping through the window -  was pulled off of her rather aggressively. Diamond, who lay sound asleep beside her a minute ago, groaned in annoyance.
