Xiaotang looked at herself in the mirror and puffed her chest out in determination. She had been fidgety the whole day today. She fidgeted with her swirly chair so much that she almost fell out of it at her office today. Good thing there was no one else in the room to see the one and only Madam No-bullshit in such disgrace.
One might wonder why Zhao Xiaotang was so nervous today. You know why?It's finally the day both sides of the family get together to discuss the marriage. Just the thought of it made her break into cold sweat and her palms sweaty.
The CEO struggled to put on her watch. Only after three or four tries was she able to clasp it into place. She looked up at herself in the mirror. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone come into the room. It was, of course, her fiancee.
"Are you ready, baobei?" Shuxin asked.
"Almost," Xiaotang looked at her fiancee from the reflection of the mirror. "You look stunning, by the way."
Shuxin whirled around in her dress. She then looked up at Xiaotang and batted her eyelashes.

"You really think so?" she asked.
"I do. Infact, you look so good everyday," Xiaotang said as she bent down and kissed the girl on her forehead. "I love you so much."
"I love you, too, my eye candy," Shuxin winked.
"Eye candy?" Xiaotang gasped in mock offense. "So I'm just eye candy to you?"
"No!" Shuxin was quick to pull Xiaotang back in. "You're my everything everything, Tangtang."
Xiaotang blushed at that.
"Your everything everything?" Xiaotang mumbled against Shuxin's forhead.
"Yes, my everything everything," Shuxin replied with a sweet smile. "Your coat is crooked, by the way."
Shuxin gently adjusted the clothing and smoothed out the wrinkles. She patted the lumps out. Xiaotang took this as a chance stare into the dark abyss of Shuxin's eyes. The brown orbs that captivated her and wrecked down her walls. The eyes that reassure her that everything was going to be alright. Shuxin shied away from Xiaotang's intense gaze. She pretended to fix the already smooth coat.
"There, all neat and dapper," Shuxin smiled. "My handsome Tangtang."
"Yes, my beautiful Xinxin," Xiaotang leaned in capture Shuxin's lips in a short but sweet kiss. "I'm your Tangtang."

"You must be Zhao Xiaotang! Shuxin and my father had told me many things about you. All good things, of course."
Xiaotang confidently smiled as she went for a firm handshake with Mr. Yu. Shuxin's parents lived abroad. It was actually the first encounter with each other for both parties.
"Hello, Mr. Yu, Mrs. Yu," Xiaotang smiled at her soon-to-be in-laws. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you after hearing so much from Shuxin."
