Remember what the pregnancy instructor said about babies being wonderful and all that? Well, forget about it. We'll explore the downside of babies today.

Babies aren't very good at keeping time. No, scratch that. They have no fucking schedule. Nope. They don't say, "Hey, mom. I'm planning on arriving tomorrow. You free or nah?" They just come when it's convenient.

(Just like a few relatives of mine who I don't wanna call out. Ahem, ahem.)

And that's exactly what Zhao Xiaotang learned today that they didn't teach at pregnancy class.

Our good old CEO Zhao was (dozing off)in a meeting with foreign investors. She's been in there the whole morning, talking about a million-dollar business deal. But she's bored out of her mind though. A million dollars is barely anything to her anyway. Yes, it's such a bold statement, but she's Zhao Xiaotang, the CEO of Zhao Corporations. She's got, as Jennie Kim would put it, "money by the hunnids."

"CEO Zhao!!! CEO Zhao!!! CEO ZHAO!!!!!" Duan Xiaowei came screeching into the meeting room.

"Huh?" Xiaotang woke up wide-eyed. "Is there an earthquake? Is the company burning? A terrorist attack????"

"No, no, and no," Xiaowei wheezed as she leaned onto the table. "It's important."

"Well, duh? I know it's important. Why else would you come screaming into the room??"

"It's... It's..."

Xiaowei wheezed again. Xiaotang tapped her foot.

"I'm very sorry for this inconvenient interruption," Xiaotang turned to the investors and smiled apologetically. "I certainly hope you do not mind."

"Of course not, Ms. Zhao," the investors nervously smiled back.

"Now, what is it, Duan Xiaowei?" Xiaotang turned to her assistant. "What is so urgent so that you had to come screaming into the meeting room like a banshee on steroids?"

"It's... it's your wife, CEO Zhao!"

"What about my wife?"

"Your wife is in labor!"

"WHAT?!"

Now it was Xiaotang's time to scream like a banshee

Now it was Xiaotang's time to scream like a banshee. The foreign investors looked clearly startled by the seemingly well-mannered CEO's outburst. Noticing this, Xiaotang controlled herself and smiled at the investors.

"Gentlemen, I'm afraid we must put this meeting on hold here," she told them. "My wife is in labor and I must be there to see the birth of my daughter. So if you don't mind, please excuse me."

Just like that, Zhao Xiaotang zoomed out of the meeting room. Everyone in the hall was startled to see a black and grey blur zooming by.

"Look! What was that!"
