Athena's POV
The next morning, Caroline and I sat at breakfast while the girls decided to sleep in. I was so excited about my date with Theo, that not even Black could ruin my mood. The Marauders, except for Peter, sat with us. Black sat beside me while Potter and Remus sat across from us.
"Good morning," They chorused.
"Good morning," Caroline and I replied sounding chipper.
"You two seem in a good mood," Remus said.
"Caroline is naturally a morning person," I told him.
"Lucky you, I wish I was like that," Remus told Caroline she blushed at the semi-compliment.
"What about you? Why are you so happy? I know you aren't a morning person," Black said. He remembers.
"You remember?" I asked.
"How can I forget? You looked beautiful even when you were a bit grumpy in the morning. Still are," he said. I was shocked by how sincere he sounded.
Before I got the chance to reply, the mail came in and so did my morning letter. I smiled when the owl landed in front of me with the letter and I gave it a bit of bread as a treat. I opened the letter and read it.
I have completely fallen for you. Everything you do, everything you say, everything you are. You're my first thought in the morning, you're my last thought before I fall asleep, and almost every thought in between.
I smiled as I read it.
"This person keeps getting sweeter and sweeter," awed Caroline.
"So, do you like it?" asked Black.
"Yeah, it's s- wait. Did he just say he fell for me? As in, he loves me? He doesn't even know me!"
"Oh my god!!" Caroline was equally shocked. "What if he knows you?"
"What do you mean, Care? I'm not exactly close with any boys at Hogwarts, and it's definitely not from any of the boys back home," I said thinking out loud.
"So... does it make it sweet or creepy?" Black asked nervously.
"Both... kind of- wait, what's it to you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Um... I I-I'm-" Black stuttered.
"We're just curious is all?" Remus said.
"Yeah, curious. Does Lily like stuff like that, too?" Potter asked.
"Right," I said eyeing them suspiciously, "Well, we think that it's really sweet and romantic. I wish to know who the person though."
"What will you do if you found out who he is?" asked Black.
"Well, I don't know..."
"Will you give him a chance?" asked Potter.
"Probaby. I mean he seems sweet, writing all these beautiful letters, and somehow making effort in finding out things about me not many people know, he can't be that bad. But the fact that he said that he loves me is... I don't know... I mean it takes a long time to fall for someone. Not a few glances and some information," I said.
"What things?" asked Black.
"Like the fact that daisies are my favourite flower. It was on my pillow yesterday," I said and Black smiled.
"Athena, it's 10:30!" Caroline exclaimed.
"Oh my god! I have to go get ready. Bye!" I said quickly as Caroline and I jumped off the bench and ran to the dorms to get ready ignoring the boys yells and questions behind us.
