Chapter 3
Amethyst POV

“Hi! You must be Amethyst?” She half questions half states as she stretches out her pale hand, presumably for me to shake.
I take it before replying, “Yes, I talked to you on the phone yesterday.”
“Yep. I wouldn’t forget that Amethyst. We are all very excited to meet you in person.”
I feel my face flushing and turn to hide the colour with my hair.
“Im sorry I’m early, errgh, Mrs smith? Was it?”
“Please dear, just call me Rachel,” she says, her green eyes twinkling with laughter.
“Of course, Mrs, I mean Rachel. Well anyway I’m sorry that I’m a little early, Mum had to drop me off on the way to work.”
“Oh no dear, that’s fine it doesn’t matter one bit. I’m sure you’re a pleasure to have.”
I feel my face start to flush again and once again I hide it, this time by laughing slightly.
“So you said you have some riding experience?” She asks turning her head to face me. It wasn’t until now that I noticed. She was quite beautiful. Sure she had some wrinkles and a couple of grey hairs but that almost just added to her beauty. Crimson-orange hair hung down to her shoulders and bordered her pale face. Her green eyes seemed to sparkle every time she smiled making her whole aurora just feel very friendly.
“Well yes. Quite a lot actually. I have been riding every since I was little, competing in Show Jumping and small eventing comps and things. I stopped a few years ago and my mum thinks its time for me to get back into it.” I answer sincerely. I hope she doesn’t ask why I stopped or why I haven’t ridden in a while. I really hope.
She looks at me thoughtfully for a few moments before replying, “I think we have the perfect horse for you.”

Sorry Guys short chapter! But what do you think of Rachel?
