Chapter 5 -
Jasons POV

Wow… That’s all I can say. As I lead the way to the barn I can’t help but hope that Amethyst didn’t see. Guys aren’t supposed to blush and get all embarrassed. Erghh! I’m so stupid! I managed to somehow forget to let go of her hand and now I’ve made a fool of myself. Great.
I feel myself lengthening my strides, trying to get to the barn faster.

“Hey! Hahaha!” I hear her laugh and call out to me, “I have little legs remember!”
I laugh and slow down a bit and let her catch up.
“What do you want me to carry you or something?” I tease elbowing her shoulder as I say it.
“Hey!” She pouts. “I’m not 3! I’m 17 and can walk perfectly fine on my own.” Somehow, fate strikes again and she manages to trip on a rock, stumbling forward.
I try hard to suppress the laugh I know is coming but fail when she turns to look at me shooting daggers with her deep blue eyes, and crack up laughing.
My mistake. I brace myself as a little Amethyst comes running at me in an attempt to tackle me to the ground. Before she crashes into me I grab her around the waist and easily fling her over my shoulder, laughing at her squeals and shrieks or fear and joy.
“Put me down! Put me down!” She yells between laughs as she pounds her fists on my back.
“Ok fine.” I sigh as I unceremoniously plonk her to the ground.
“Hey!” she says as she attempts to regain her balance.
“Haha! At least I put you on your feet!” I retort.
“To true,” she sighs smiling up at me. I like when she smiles. It makes her look 10x prettier. If that’s even possible.
“Come on!” I say nudging her with my shoulder. “Lets go. I’ll give you a tour of the place.”

Authors note:

I won't be using Jasons POV to much in the story I just thought maybe you guys needed a bit of a break from Amethysts POV so that you can see the friendship that they're developing from both sides :)
