Bethany:
Logan and I both get out of the car and walk towards Jake to confront him.
See, this is why we broke up in the first place. He keeps working with Fice.
"What's your deal man?" Logan immediately shouts at him.
I can see Logan's muscles tensing up and Jake staring at him wide-eyed.
"Nothing," Jake says and slams the car door shut.
"Speak up, won't you? You had no problem with that when you called the police," Logan says confidently.
"Yeah, just like you had no problem with stealing my girl," Jake says and I feel sick.
"She's not your girl anymore, it's your own fucking fault," Logan says moving closer to Jake.
Jake's jaw clenches and his fist tightens up as Logan's words leave his mouth.
"Why the fuck would you drive Maya's car? What are you trying to prove? You wanna prove to Beth that she made the right decision leaving you? Because that's exactly what you're doing," Logan says to Jake, and his chest puffs up even more. Logan looks ready for a fight.
"Shut the fuck up," Jake says and punches Logan in the face. I let out a loud gasp. This is crazy, I didn't want them fighting.
Logan grabs Jake by the throat and pushes him against Maya's car. He chokes Jake slightly and keeps him there in place.
"Logan, stop. Please stop," I say frightened that Jake might get hurt.
Logan completely brushes me off and very harshly says, "Tell me why you're driving Fice's damn car."
Jake keeps quiet as he tries to escape Logan's grip.
"It's not Maya's car," Jake struggles to say while being choked.
Logan leaves Jake on the car and stares at him.
"It's my new car. Same as Maya's unfortunately. My parents got it today, so fuck off," he says to Logan.
Logan and I look at each other with confused expressions.
"Then why were you at the beach?" I ask Jake.
"Maya told me about you two and I didn't believe her, so I went to Logan's house to ask him about it. Only Daisy was there and she told me that the two of you went to the beach. When I got there and actually saw you two together, I was furious. I revved the car out of anger and drove home, but my gas ran out just before I entered the tunnel. I had to turn around and then realized that a car was following me so I called the cops worried that it might be Fice."
"How did Maya know?" I ask, looking at Logan.
"She's Fice," Logan and Jake say at the same time and look at each other with disgusted faces.
"She called me on her own number, not a blocked number," Jake admits.
"Why would she do that?" I ask.
"Less effort. She probably accepted the fact that we know she's Fice," Logan says.
"Jake, I'm sorry about Logan and I hanging out. It is true and I'm not going to keep on building our friendship on lies," I say and Jake grits his teeth, while he clenches his jaw. I really messed up.
"But it was a huge mistake. A spur of the moment thing. It's not going to happen again, because I never want to hurt you," I admit. I peek at Logan's face and he looks uneasy. Logan pushes his lips together and I can see the veins in his neck become clearer. He turns his head to look away from me.
