10 years later...

Jane:

"James stop that," I yell at my kid for pulling my skirt for the millionth time.

"Honey, relax," my husband, Felix, says and picks James up, carrying him across the park.

This date he planned, surely didn't go as planned.

I tripped earlier, making all the food that I was carrying, fall to the ground.

Still, somehow, Felix seems to be super happy. He's such a loving husband.

I really do have the perfect husband. He handles my clumsiness very well.

He always copes with me if I say dumb things.

I love him dearly.

"Hey Nora," I say answering my phone.

"I need you, it's an emergency," she says and my heart starts to race, not because of her emergency, but because my kid just fell from the swing.

"Oh James, get the kid, I have to deal with something right now," I say and I hear Nora rage in fury at someone next to her.

"Nora, you okay?" I ask, kind of scared of her anger.

"You know that idiot boy I told you about? He just spilled coffee all over my formal wear at work. The worst part is that he did it on purpose. It's a fashion emergency. I have to look my best for the interview, help!" she says through the phone in a panic.

I think idiot boy likes her...

Nora:

"Thanks," I huff as I put on the new outfit Jane brought for me.

"I literally hate him, he's such a dumb ass," I say, fixing my hair.

"He likes you," Jane says and I roll my eyes.

"What happened to your skirt?" I ask her, laughing. It's covered in mud.

"James. Kids are so reckless," she says and I can't help but laugh at her.

"That's why I never want kids," I say, putting on my glasses. "Do I look good?"

"Yes, you look perfect. Go nail that interview girl," Jane says with a smile.

"I'm an accountant, Jane, I have no communication skills anymore. Well, on the other hand, idiot boy has been challenging it a lot lately, so I think I'm ready," I say walking out of the changing room and into my office, along with Jane.

"If you mean the communication you use with him...I'm not so sure. Try being nice, that will help you a lot," Jane says and I smile.

"You're right. I'm an independent woman. Idiot boy does not have any influence on me whatsoever," I say confidently.

"Yeah sure honey..." Jane says and I just stare at her.

"You're going to ace this, chill," she says and I grab all my things to rush to the interview.

Brooklyn:

I'm really stressed right now.

"It's just an interview dear," my mom says to me in the office before walking out.

Yes, it's just an interview, but I'm going to be interviewing some woman who is my age and is super rich. That's intimidating. She's one of the richest accountants in the city and she's only 28, it's very exciting but also stressful.

"Nora?" I gasp as she walks into the office.

"No way," she says and starts running slowly towards me.
