Halos hindi ko na marinig ang tugtog sa lakas ng cheer ng mga kasama ko sa D' LA.
This was my first week here. And I can say that my dancing is not that bad.
"Was that for a beginner? Mad, you nailed it!" papuri sakin ng instructor naming si Raph.
Matagal na akong sumusubaybay sa mga dance videos niya kasama ang iilan sa mga student niyang nag-eexcel sa sayawan. Yung nga tutorial niya din sa mga lumalabas na bagong kanta ang ginagaya ko kaya hindi na ako gaano nahihirapan sa klase namin.
"Wow, that's totally cool! You're a witch, Mad! Mad the Witch!" Rica hugged me.
"Thanks, Raph! Thanks, Rica! I just uhm, did what I need to do."
"There's no question you'll win this week! Right, Raph?"
"Oh, I guess so! Dancers from the Philippines is truly amazing. I can't believe that, oh my gosh. I think a new star has risen!"
Pumapalakpak naman ang tainga ko sa mga papuri nila.
"You know, Mad? There will be a dance contest happening on Thursday. Sunday is your flight right? Yes right, because we a one week class. The cash prize there is really good! Oh, I have to go! Bye bye!"
And then Rica stepped out.
"Oh, yes, I heard it too. I'll tell you the details later, Mad. Let's have dinner tonight? My treat," pagyaya sakin ni Raph.
"Is it that okay? Aren't you tired already?" tanong ko nagpapahiwatig ng pagdadalawang-isip.
"Don't say no to your DI!"
"Oh gosh! I guess there's no way out!" tumawa ako. "Where will we meet?"
"I'll call you," yun lang at tinalikuran na niya ako.
Raph has been good to me. He offered me a house to stay. He guided me, kahit na nung sunday lang kami nagkita, he have been open to help me out.
"These are details of the contest. I'm not sure about the manager thing but it's still tentative. You can call me if needed."
"Thank you so much, Raph! I don't know how to repay but I'm very thankful!"
"Just let me see that sweet smile of yours and don't dump my invitations, I'm fine with that. Go ahead and drive safely. I have someone to meet."
"Ayiiiie! Don't worry, I brought my car. Good luck to your date!"
"Date your face! It was just a friend. Go now Little Mad Witch!"
"Really? Got a screen name now?"
My phone suddenly ring.
"Gotta go! Bye! Oh yes? Really? Its all settled na? Thanks God. Thank you for the help."
I called Fritz.
"Hello, Maddie?"
"It's all settled na. Nothing to worry. We can continue without any problem."
"Totoo ba ito? Maraming maraming salamat, Maddie! Hulog ka ng langit!"
"Shut up! Didilihensya pa ako ng pang-allowance ko. Sige na!"
"Umuwi ka na agad dito ah! Miss ka na ng Pub!"
"Plastic! Sige na."
Binabaan ko na siya.

Yun ang nakalagay sa poster. Kinabahan ako dahil hindi pa naman ako ganong kahasa kagaya ng iba na dito na sa LA lumaki at kinagisnan na ang pagsasayaw.
