26- The twins

You had now been on Naboo with your friends for almost a week. You had so much fun there and you almost didn't want to go back to Corruscant. Right now, you were finishing eating supper. Then, Padmé looked at the twins and said.
"It's almost their bed time. I need to bathe them and prepare them for the night. Anakin, can you help me?" You then got up.
"Don't worry Padmé, I'll come with you." You said picking up Leia in your arms. Padmé smiled happily and you two walked upstairs to get the twins ready for bed. You undressed them while Padmé was preparing the bath. When the temperature was good, you two put Luke and leia in the bathtub and washed them. They were playing happily with the water. Then, when you were done, you got them out and dried them in big fluffy towels. After they were completely dry, you put their pyjamas on and brushed their teeth. The twins were finally ready to go to bed. Padmé put them in their beds and read them a story. They were soon asleep. Padmé got out of the room and joined you in the corridor. You two sat outside on a balcony with drinks in your hands. You started talking about everything and nothing.
"Hey," said Padmé after a few minutes of silence, "thanks for helping me tonight." You smiled.
"It's nothing. I wanted to spend some time with the twins. And also I wanted to give Anakin and Obi some time to just relax together. Like us right now." Padmé smiled.
"So," she asked smirking, "when are you and Obi going to have children?" You choked on your drink. I wasn't ready for that! You coughed.
"Uhh, not for now. I'm not even sure we're gonna have kids. Jedi duties and stuff. I don't know" you replied after retrieving your breath. Padmé nodded.
"I mean I don't even know if I want some. If I had some I'd be happy but now I'm good." Padmé nodded again.
"Well. Having kids is hard but so much fun. I love Luke and Leia with all my life." Said Padmé smiling.
"Will you make them go to the Jedi temple as younglings?" You asked. Padmé shrugged.
"I don't know, we'll discuss this with Ani. It depends on if they're Force sensitive." She answered. You nodded.
"I'd be cool having you around more often. If you come back to Corruscant we'd be happy. But it's as you wish." You said smiling. Padmé smiled too and you continued talking on the balcony for a while. It was a great night.
