10 Weeks into Quarantine:
It was a few days after the date Roman had planned, and Virgil had decided it was his turn. Virgil wasn't going to tell Roman about it and he was setting it up in Patton's room. The bed was big enough that it could hold both of them and be able to make the fort he wanted to, Roman hadn't been out of his room a lot that day so Virgil didn't have to make him stay in his room.
Virgil also had Leo bring them snacks because he had no reason to leave the house. His meds were fine, Roman had picked up a refill the other day. So he didn't have that excuse. Roman had been happy that Virgil enjoyed the date. He had cleaned everything up the next day and then been weird. Virgil wondered if it was close to something to do with his brother.
Maybe it was the day he went missing soon or his birthday?
Virgil wasn't sure and figured if Roman could do his speciality with being extra, then Virgil could do his. Being cozy and introverted. So he found the materials that Patton kept in his room for pillow forts and set it up.
Patton had bought bar stools that you could adjust so they could make one on his bed if needed or other places. Virgil had no idea where he got them but didn't ask. Patton also had a bundle of blankets that held very well. Virgil also knew that the ceiling fan hadn't worked in years so he tied a few there. So it looked like a bit of a castle like thing.
Suited for a prince. Virgil also fixed the pillows and got his own with a comfy blanket. He also grabbed his own computer to hook up to the TV so he could use Netflix. He made sure he had his mouse close by to where he was going to be sitting. Leo texted him to say he would be by soon. Virgil responded and then went to wait. When he got to the living room he saw a blanket and more pillows, he smiled as he got an idea. He then took them and hid them in the room.
Leo had then told him he put the snacks by the door. Virgil Venmoed him the amount he spent and got the snacks. He had gotten tired of washing each and everything so he just took it into the bedroom and then made sure everything was set before he got Roman.
"Virgil? Why did you open the door? And where are all the couch cushions?" Roman asked while walking towards their rooms. Virgil slipped out of the room and answered.
"Leo had a book he needed to return." Virgil said.
"Oh, but that doesn't explain the couch cushions, I was going to watch something but I can't because well, they are gone." Roman said, turning around to face Virgil.
"I know." He said and walked off to the kitchen. He was going to make some coffee because he was going to let Roman choose what they watched and he knew it was going to be something he wasn't sure about or could barely tolerate.
The more Virgil thought about it, the more the two of them were different. He was feeling anxious in his mind but his body wasn't showing the signs. Sometimes the meds were good.
"You know?" Roman asked following him.
"I do. I have eyes, Princey." Virgil went about making his coffee. "I am making coffee, do you want some?"
"You are avoiding the question." Roman pushed. Virgil figured he thought Virgil had something planned or was setting it up, but he knew it was already done.
"No, I answered the question you had. Now coffee?" Virgil knew he had to remain slightly annoyed in order to throw off Roman. Or frustrate him. It didn't work, Roman stayed while Virgil made his coffee. Which was fine because he was going to take Roman into the room after he did.
