Chapter Twenty-Three

18 Weeks Into The Pandemic:

"Virgil come on!" Roman said as he followed his boyfriend out of his room.

"No." Virgil said.

"But you said-"

"I know what I said and that doesn't count to this!" Virgil said. Patton watched them fight. With them you could never tell if it was serious or not, so you had to wait for the aftermath. Patton was just concerned that they were undergoing pressure.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Patton asked. Both Virgil and Roman stopping the fight they were having and turned to their roommate.

"Yup, its all good." Roman said with a smile. Virgil glared at him.

"How can you say that? You said that Chris Hemsworth was hotter than Gerard Way and Josh Dun?!?" Virgil said.

"You've said it before!"

"That was fucking Tom Hiddleston, two different names!" Virgil said and walked off.

"You guys were fighting about celebrities?" Patton asked.

"No, just our daily debate. We have one everyday, it's healthy to know each other's stand points plus it keeps us busy for a little while during the morning. It's all in good fun, don't worry. You'll know when we actually fight." Roman said.

"Will you stop talking and come make me coffee?" Virgil said.

"Yes, give me a moment." Roman said and smiled.

"You two are weird but I like it. I am glad you make him happy." Patton said.

"Thanks, and I will never leave him." Roman said.

"You hurt him, I'll take your kneecaps." Patton said seriously. Roman's eyes widened and he nodded.

"Roman!" Virgil yelled.

"Noted, I am gonna go take care of Princess there." Roman said and walked into the kitchen.

"Took you long enough." Virgil pouted. Roman chuckled and kissed his forehead.

"Sorry, I needed to talk with Patton. Now do you want flavored or not?" Roman asked him. Virgil chose flavored and handed him the grounds he wanted.

"Did he do the kneecaps thing?" Virgil asked.

"How'd you know?" Roman asked while he measured the coffee.

Virgil was making eggs to go with the pancakes that Patton had made, the two of them did miss Patton's cooking. "He's had the same speech since my senior year. Ever since I had a boyfriend meet him it's always kneecaps. Not that it happens often. I just find it funny."

Roman nodded and turned on the coffee maker. "Sometimes I think you just don't want to make coffee so you make me do it." Roman said. Virgil glanced at him and shook his head.

"No, you make good coffee. I have said it before." He said. "Heat up the pancakes?" Roman nodded and moved to the pancakes to heat them up. Patton was standing in the kitchen window and watched them. Logan came over and hugged him.

"What are you doing?" He asked quietly to not disturb the couple in the kitchen.

"Watching them. I want to see if it's just because they are with us that they are cute." Patton answered.
