19 Weeks Into The Pandemic:
They reached Roman's parents house around 10 am the next day. They had stayed at a hotel after they got dinner. When they got there, Roman's mother ran out and hugged Roman right away and then asked where Virgil was.
She was a short woman and had long balck hair. Her skin was slightly tanned signifying she was in the sun. Judging by the flowers around the front of the house it was most likely due to gardening. She had green eyes and was wearing shorts and a bright shirt. The house itself was beautiful. It was a pale blue two story house with a small porch. The driveway was small but they had a two car garage so the car they came in would be fine.
Roman's father was in the doorway and he was pretty tall and had the same features as Roman did. He had salt and pepper hair and a small beard. His eyes were a deep brown. He was tan as well and no doubt helped his wife in the garden. He saw Virgil look over and he smiled and waved. Virgil returned it. He had only met these people a handful of times in passing so the fact that he was suddenly staying in their house freaked him out just a little.
Roman had jumped out the minute they stopped the car to meet his mother for the hug and he turned to see Virgil with a smirk and with both their duffel bags.
"Virgil, you shouldn't be carrying Roman's bag. Where are your manners?" She swatted his arm and Roman flinched and moved forward. Virgil handed Roman his own bag and kept the one that was his.
"I see where you get your chivalrous attitude." Virgil said. Roman nodded.
"Yeah, she'll have me running around you while we are here, not that I am complaining." Virgil laughed and Roman kissed him.
"As cute as you two are, we do need to get in the house. How was the hotel?" She asked. Roman went off on talking about the room they were in and the two followed her inside. Roman's dad took their bags and then they went to the kitchen. Roman was the only child they had now and Virgil looked at the pictures as they passed. The more he was convinced that the Duke was Roman's brother.
There was one picture from what looked like Remus' graduation, Remus looked the same except had more tattoos and piercings. That was not Janus' type but Virgil wasn't judging it because he told everyone he hated the guy he's now dating.
Roman went to help his dad while Mrs. Princeton took Virgil into the kitchen. "Are you hungry? Did you guys eat?" Roman had told him that he shouldn't decline food with his family. Apparently it was rude, what Roman didn't know was the Virgil understood. His first boyfriend's family was Italian, they will feed you no matter what.
"We had breakfast at the hotel before we left." Virgil responded when they hit the kitchen.
"Oh, then you two must be hungry, sit. I'll make a small snack." She waved over to the kitchen island.
"Are you sure? I can help if you need it." Virgil offered. Mrs. Princeton smiled.
"No, you two drove down here. Let us take care of you." She said and Virgil shrugged. Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around his waist.
"He has a small issue with relaxing, mom, give him a break." Roman said. Mrs. Princeton rolled her eyes at her son and Virgil looked over at him.
"Glad you know that I am an anxious mess." Virgil mumbled. Roman smiled and turned Virgil around.
"Princess, I wouldn't have it any other way." Roman put his hand on Virgil's cheek and kissed him. Roman knew Virgil got embarrassed when he used the nickname in front of people. When he pulled away Virgil's cheeks were pink and he hid his face in his hands.
