19 Weeks Into The Pandemic:

Virgil was staring at the suitcase he had packed. He also had a duffel bag for Roman's parents house. He also had enough medication to last him until they were halfway into the visit with Janus. Then he would have to go in for a revaluation and get a renewal and get his first one at the pharmacy and they would last him until he hit the apartment again.

He was still nervous. He had told Janus he would be coming back and spending the rest of break with him, but he hadn't told him he was bringing Roman yet. He got along well with Remus and he was sure Roman was going to love him too, even if it wasn't his brother. They hadn't seen each other in five years, but he couldn't imagine Remus looked that different but he can't assume. He looks a lot different than he did five years ago.

Roman's parents knew that they were dating and they didn't want to keep Roman away for long just in case their campus put in protocols. They decided that two weeks would be enough as long as he was able to come back for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It was a week since they agreed to go away and he was slowly getting more nervous. The meds weren't helping with this, maybe they were not working? He wasn't sure, but he hadn't told Roman yet. He should before he had a panic attack.

"Princess?" He heard Roman in the other room. They had dyed his hair last night and Roman had a good time washing it out and drying it for him. Virgil also had to make sure that Roman didn't get dye on his hands. It stains, Virgil found that out the hard way.

Roman wasn't happy about a purple shower curtain.

"Yeah?" Virgil responded.

"What are you doing?" Roman asked while popping into his room. "We are going soon."

"I know, I am just double checking some things." Roman walked in and hugged Virgil.

"And that is?" Roman asked and Virgil just shrugged. They both knew Roman could tell something was up. "Is everything alright, Virge?" Roman turned Virgil towards him.

"I think they stopped working but I am not sure." Virgil said while he gently shook his med container. Roman nodded.

"Didn't you say one of the side effects was worse anxiety? Maybe it's that?" Roman said. Virgil shrugged.

"Maybe, but that's not what we need to focus on right now. All you need to know is that they may not be working and I might have a panic attack." Virgil said.

"And if that happens, I am pretty sure I know what to do." Roman said and that made Virgil smile. He picked up the backpack and slid it on to his back. Roman grabbed the suitcase and the duffel bag.

"I can carry my own bags, Roman." Virgil said.

"I know, but I like to spoil you. So shush and let me." Roman kissed Virgil and walked off. Virgil followed behind him to the living room. Logan was there with Patton. Patton rushed to give Roman a hug and then moved to Virgil. He hugged him and then fussed over everything.

"You have all the masks? The ones we just made, the ones that you guys did? The cleaned ones too?" Patton asked hurriedly.

Virgil smiled. "Yes, dad, we do. Stop worrying, we are just going to be gone for two months."

"I know but still. Promise you won't kill him in the car?" Patton asked.

"I have my headphones in case I need a break or something. We are making frequent stops to let me stretch and all that, plus he's letting me drive up from Florida to Janus' place." Virgil said.
