Chapter 6: New comics

  The winter break was reaching. It was a Friday afternoon and Max, Nate and Jayden were out of the school, going to shop.

As the friends arrived at Times Square, they passed on some clothes' malls, Nate buying new jeans or hoodies, the same with Jay.

Later on, the friends entered a library and Max stopped immediately at "The comics" shelf. She glanced multi categories, grabbing and opening them, curious. The new books were already out since January. Max decided to buy: "Marvel's Avengers: Endgame Prelude" and "Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - Allegiance".

The three friends entered a coffee bar, after shopping for hours. Max pulled her phone out, taking a photo from her new books, putting a filter on and sharing it on her Instagram story. During this time, Nate was talking about the random girl he met at the club. He said that they were chatting always, but he was still nervous about going further. While talking, Max's phone buzzed. She unlocked it and at the notifications page popped a message from Instagram. Jane had replied to her story.

Max rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue annoyedly. She didn't understand why the bartender replied in such a ironic way. She didn't do anything to her.
"What's up?" - Nate asked as he took a sip from his coffe.
"Nothing." - the redhead left the phone on the table.

  The three friends, after finishing at Times Square, they went back to their school. Max laid down on her bed and opened her phone. She went through Instagram and noticed that Jane had shared a story. The redhead clicked it, curious, and watched a wallpaper of Wonder Woman, having a wild attitude. Max giggled and closed her phone, grabbing one of the comics she brought, "Marvel's Avengers: Endgame Prelude".
