The February finally passed too, letting the spring to jump in. Max was taking her spring break tomorrow and she was going to Hawkins, at her parents. As tomorrow she was going to leave, Max decided to go at night to the club, where her girlfriend was working.
The three friends: Max, Jayden and Nate went to the club, avoiding the crowd and sitting in their usual chairs on the counter.
"Pooh!" - Max called her girlfriend by her nickname.
Jayden laughed.
"What's so funny?"
"This nickname is pretty hilarious."
"Ha-ha, funny." - she rolled her eyes.
"Why do you call her like that? Did you get it from Winnie the Pooh?"
"Duh! She's soft and warm just like Winnie the Pooh, so I've decided to call her Pooh."
The brunette meanwhile approached, smiling softly.
"Hey Cuddly." - Jane held her hand.
"Hey, when are you coming to Hawkins?"
"On Thursday."
"Ugh!"
"Don't be sad, you won't see me for only three days."
"Yeah, but that's way too long." - Max pouted sadly.
"I want you to call me when you arrive, okay?"
"Sure."
"Relax Max, don't cry." - Jay mocked her friend.
"Who's crying?!"
The friends laughed.
"You're acting like you'll never see Jane again." - Nate chuckled.
"Will you two shut up? I was talking with my girlfriend."
"Anyway, it won't be long, you'll see me in two days."
"Fine."
"Go to your dorm and rest, your flight is early in the morning."
"But I wanted some time with you." - the redhead whined in a childish way which made her girlfriend giggle.
"Don't be a bad girl, plus, you're gonna distract me with your presence here." - the brunette winked and leaned in to kiss her girlfriend.
Max then stood up and left with her friends, back to their school, to take a rest.***
The redhead got out from the cab with Nate too and entered the airport. Jayden was going to Washington at her parents on afternoon while Nate was going to California.
"Your flight is two hours later, huh?" - Max asked her friend.
"Yep, yours is in forty minutes."
Max nodded. The two friends walked around the airport, buying sweets on the supermarkets around until the time was up.After some long minutes, Max greeted her friend who had to wait for more for his flight, and hopped on the plane. Fortunately, she had WiFi on her phone so she could text her girlfriend.

cuddlyMax closed her phone, smiling. Soon she started flying. The redhead pressed her forehead on the window, looking at the blue sky and some small fluffy white clouds.
Three hours later Max was on board. She woke up with the sound of the plane getting down and after stretching her arms, she threw her black bag on her shoulders.
She walked outside the first gate, entering another one, where her parents were waiting. The redhead walked towards them and hugged her mother.
"Hey mom!"
"Max, how are you honey?"
"Good, good. How are you?"
"Good, now that you arrived."
The redhead broke the hug and shook Neil's hand, who was having a chilled look.
"Nice to see you again, Maxine."
"Me too."After arriving home, Max walked at her old room at first, fixing her bag with clothes. She then walked back downstairs to eat breakfast with her parents. Her mother was still preparing the meal while Neil was checking his phone. The redhead sat down and unlocked her phone too, texting her girlfriend.

See yaMax then turned to her parents, smiling.
"How are you doing at school?" - the stepfather asked as they sat on the table.
"Very good."
"Anything new outside school?" - her mother smirked a little.
Max blushed, knowing what her mother meant. She didn't want to talk in front of her stepfather, knowing he was homophobic and too judgmental. But the thing was that Susan didn't know anything too, but Max knew she was supportive.
"Uh no, not really. Just school and that's all." - the redhead replied nervously.
The rest of the meal went quiet. Max didn't talk much, thinking about her girlfriend mostly. The redhead thought about telling her mother the truth, when Neil wouldn't be around.***
At night, around ten o'clock, Susan was sitting on the couch, alone, watching a documentary about an old kingdom. Max went downstairs, joining her mother.
"Oh, I thought you were sleeping." - she smiled softly.
"I'm gonna tell you something. ...Where's Neil?" - Max looked around, being sure he wasn't there. She didn't want to get in trouble.
"He went to sleep, he was tired. What do you want to tell me, is something wrong?" - Susan tapped the couch, telling her daughter to sit down.
"No, no. Well, I'm going to tell you that... I'm in a relationship, actually."
"That's good to hear, who's this guy?"
"Uhh well... it's... it's a girl." - Max could see her mother's face confusing a little. - "Are you against it?"
"No, of course not! Actually, I kinda thought you had something about girls, but I wasn't sure. I'll just need some time so I can live with the fact that you are with a girl, but you're my daughter, so I won't stop you. I know you're smart, you know what you're doing. And if this girl makes you happy, I'm happy, too. I just want you happy and safe, that's all what matters."
Max sighed in relief and hugged her mother.
"Thanks, mom! And please don't tell Neil, you know how he is."
"Don't worry, my mouth is locked."
"Okay, cool."
"I'd like to meet her."
"And you're lucky 'cause she's coming here on Thursday as her father lives here too."
"Great, what's her name?"
"Jane, and she's twenty. She studies for art design."
"Good." - the redhead woman grinned.
"Okay then, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight."
"Goodnight, honey."Max walked back to her room, relieved. She opened her phone and texted her girlfriend.
