Max was at the airport, together with her friends. She watched the list on TV and heard the airport speaker, telling that the flight for Hawkins was boarding. The redhead greeted Nate and Jayden, took her suitcase with her back bag and left, entering a small gate.

All the passengers took their seats on the plane. Max was on the window's side and as it was still morning, she could see the beauty of the sky and clouds, she liked that.
The plane started riding on the track.

Later on, it started flying above the clouds. Max took a look outside the window and saw all those small white clouds moving in different ways, and the sun glittering the blue sky more.

The flight was long and kinda tiring. Three hours later, the plane was on board. Max got out and entered the Hawkins' airport where she took her suitcase and entered another hall until she arrived at the main gate.

Max now was facing a lot of people who were waiting for their families or lovers. She pulled the suitcase and found her mother and stepfather, standing on their feet, waving to the redhead. Max approached them and let her suitcase down to hug her mother.
"Max, honey, finally! How was the trip?"
"Pretty good. How are you?" - the daughter asked as she pulled back.
"Good, good. I missed you so much."
"Me too." - the redhead smiled and turned to Neil. - "Hi."
"We're happy to see you, Maxine." - the blond man smiled.
  "Yeah, me too."
"Okay, let's go home now." - Susan suggested while Neil grabbed Max's suitcase, heading outside.

As Neil parked the car, Max walked out with Susan. The stepfather took the suitcase and entered the house. Max took a look around, nothing had changed, even if she was away for five months. She wondered if Billy was there, too.
"Welcome home, honey." - the redhead woman said and rubbed her daughter's back. - "Do you need help upstairs?"
"No, it's okay. I'll take the suitcase and have a shower. See ya." - Max smiled and took her things, going upstairs.

The redhead opened the door of her old room. It was empty, of course, only the bed and the shelfs were still there. Max walked to the window, watching the snow outside of it. She missed those old snowy days in Hawkins, even if she hadn't real friends who to stay with. Max walked back to her bed and put the suitcase on it, opening and pulling out her woolly clothes, placing them on her empty closet. Then the redhead walked to the bathroom to take a shower after the tiring day.

After fixing all her things and eating lunch with her family, Max decided to go and take a nap. But before going upstairs she turned to her mother who was putting the plates on the sink.
  "Um, mom?"
  "Yes?"
  "Where's Billy?"
"Oh, he left after you left for college."
"School or he found another place where to stay?!"
"No, we don't know. One day he just came, took his stuff and without any explanation, he left. We don't know where he is." - the mother shrugged.
"Oh, okay. He endured enough, though." - Max pursed her lips and left upstairs.

The redhead closed the door and laid down on her bed, placing her head on the soft pillow and taking a nap.
