Annabeth woke up to sunlight streaming through the window. It was early in the day. Annabeth looked at her alarm clock. 5:24 a.m. She looked over to Percy, sleeping silently beside her, just looking at the back of his head and thinking about the day ahead.
Percy shifted and rolled over, facing Annabeth and still asleep. He looked so... calm as he slept. He must have felt her gaze, because he opened his eyes.
"What time is it?" He asked groggily. Annabeth looked over her shoulder at her clock.
"6:15"
"How long have you been staring at me?"
"About an hour."
"An hour? Annabeth, you can wake me up you know. I won't be that cranky."
"Naw. I'm good. I'd rather stare at you for a while than have you be crabby all day long." (A/N is this something she would say? I haven't got a clue) "Have I ever told you that you drool when you sleep?"
"You may have mentioned it. I'm going back to sleep" Percy said, holding Annabeth's hand as he snuggled under the blanket.
Annabeth looked at her clock. 6:30. Might as well try to get some sleep. She closed her eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.
And that's my first one shot! I apollo-gise (get it? I think I'm clever) for any and all mistakes and typos but I'll probably fix it some time soon. I also wrote this off of the idea that Annabeth tells Percy that he drools in his sleep. I don't know. Like I said, nonsense. I hope this made for a decent first chapter. This is really short, like 200 words. These might get longer as I go. Don't know for sure.
12/13/2020 update: it gets so much better from this point on. Like I can't even tell you how much I have improved. If you want to see on of my best works, I would tell you to read one called "Blind Date" it has both POVs (point of view) for Percy and Annabeth, as well as some of the other characters as well.
